Champions League Predictions Today, Thursday Sept. 10: Best Bets & Picks

The 2026/27 UEFA Champions League continues Thursday with six more Matchday 1 fixtures, headlined by Manchester United and Bayern Munich.

Our Champions League predictions today include three betting picks for Thursday's slate: over 2.5 goals in Fenerbahce vs Roma, Bayern Munich -2.5 against Bodo/Glimt and both teams to score in Manchester United vs Sabah.

Here are our best Champions League picks and predictions for Thursday, September 10.

Bayern Munich vs Bodo/GlimtBayern to cover -2.5 spread-143
Manchester United vs Sabah Both teams to score+106

Fenerbahce vs AS Roma Prediction & Best Bet

Best Bet: Over 2.5 goals (+117)

Five of Fenerbahce's last six games (including Champions League qualification) have seen over 2.5 total goals, and five of those have had both teams scoring. It'd be wise to expect tons of entertainment in their Champions League opener against Roma.

The Italian club are enjoying an excellent start to the season with three straight wins in the 2026/27 Serie A, with all three games hitting the over on the 2.5-goal market, with Roma scoring at least twice each time. Based on the performances from both clubs in the early season, an open game is within the realm of possibilities, making the over 2.5 goals a sensible alternative.

Bayern Munich vs Bodo/Glimt Prediction & Best Bet

Best Bet: Bayern to cover -2.5 spread (-143)

Bayern Munich will have a tough test against a Bodo/Glimt side that turned heads in the 2025/26 UCL campaign, clinching several eye-popping results and reaching the Round of 16. However, Bodo are also a team that lost 5-0 to Sporting CP in Portugal in the R16 and went W2, D1, L2 in last season's road games. Positive qualification results against Royale Union SG (D 2-2) and NEC Nijmegen (W 3-1) suggest Bodo might be ready to deliver better results on the road, but they haven't faced a team that's remotely close to Bayern's level.

Bodo/Glimt are likely to sit back and exploit the counter, but that's something Bayern are used to facing. An attack led by Harry Kane, Michael Olise and Luis Diaz will be too much for the Norwegian squad, so I'm leaning on Bayern covering the -2.5 spread, meaning they should win by at least three goals. They've done that in their last three competitive fixtures at home.

Manchester United vs Sabah Prediction & Best Bet

Best Bet: Both teams to score (+106)

Manchester United are overwhelming favorites ahead of this match against Sabah, and for good reason. They finished in third place in the Premier League last season, have opened the new season with a W1, D1, L1 record and will face a team that will be making their UCL debut.

Still, it's hard to trust Manchester United on the defensive side of the ball. The Red Devils have conceded at least two goals in each of their first three competitive fixtures this season, including a 2-0 loss to Hull City and a last-gasp equalizer against Everton last Sunday. While they shouldn't have problems winning, they're shaky enough on defense to believe Sabah will have at least a few chances to score. Back both teams scoring at Old Trafford as a result.

Bayern Munich and Manchester United headline Thursday's Champions League Matchday 1 slate, with our best bets targeting Fenerbahce-Roma over 2.5 goals, Bayern -2.5 and both teams to score in Manchester United-Sabah.
