Fantrax & Sleeper Premier League Rankings: Gameweek 4

Three Gameweeks into the Premier League season, Fantrax and Sleeper managers have a much clearer picture of which roles are real and which early returns were temporary. Set-piece responsibilities, defensive floors and attacking positions are starting to settle, while a few players have already pushed themselves into the top tier of weekly fantasy options.

These weekly rankings are built specifically for Fantrax and Sleeper scoring, where crosses, chances created, tackles, defensive actions and set pieces matter alongside goals and assists. For Gameweek 4, Chelsea's home matchup with Hull City stands out, Liverpool have several strong options against Fulham and Brighton players get another favorable spot away to Coventry City.

The player pool is based on RotoWire's latest predicted lineups, with projections adjusted for role, matchup, expected minutes and fantasy scoring floor.

Best Fantrax & Sleeper Picks for Gameweek 4

Cole Palmer and Chelsea
Chelsea have one of the best matchups on the board at home to Hull City, which pushes Palmer and several teammates toward the top of the weekly rankings. Palmer remains one of the safest combinations of ceiling and floor in Fantrax and Sleeper formats, while Joao Pedro and Morgan Rogers also benefit from the matchup, among others.
Alexander Isak and Liverpool
Liverpool are another team worth targeting at home to Fulham. Isak carries obvious goal upside, while Cody Gakpo, Florian Wirtz and Dominik Szoboszlai all have paths to strong fantasy scores through a combination of attacking involvement and peripheral production.
Maxim De Cuyper
De Cuyper remains one of the more interesting fantasy defenders because his attacking role gives him ways to score even without a clean sheet. Brighton's trip to Coventry keeps him near the top of the defensive rankings again this week. On the downside, since the opener, his overall numbers have been lacking.
Diego Gomez
Brighton's matchup with Coventry also brings Gomez into play as a lower-cost midfielder with a strong weekly projection. His role and attacking involvement make him especially interesting in formats where you don't need a goal or assist to return value.
Dominik Szoboszlai
Szoboszlai's fantasy value remains tied to more than just where he starts on the pitch. Set pieces and involvement in Liverpool's attack continue to give him a useful floor, and the home matchup with Fulham makes him one of the stronger midfield options in Gameweek 4.

Final Thoughts

Gameweek 4 is where early-season role information starts becoming more useful. Three matches still aren't enough to completely redefine a player, but repeated set-piece responsibilities, secure minutes and consistent attacking or defensive roles matter much more than one isolated fantasy score.

Chelsea are one of the main teams to target this week with Hull City visiting Stamford Bridge, while Liverpool also have several players near the top of the rankings against Fulham. Brighton continue to produce interesting fantasy options in a favorable matchup with Coventry, particularly De Cuyper and Gomez.

Bruno Fernandes remains one of the strongest floor plays even in a difficult Manchester derby, while Bukayo Saka stays near the top of the midfield pool despite Arsenal playing away at Sunderland. The biggest thing to monitor before the deadline is expected minutes, since lineup changes can quickly reshape these rankings.
