Premier League Gameweek 3 Best Bets: Picks, Odds & Predictions
Premier League Gameweek 3 brings a loaded weekend of betting opportunities, headlined by Arsenal vs Chelsea and Everton vs Manchester United on Sunday. Our GW3 best bets include Arsenal to beat Chelsea, Everton double chance against Man United and several plus-money picks across the weekend.
The transfer window finally, mercifully closed this week, and it went out with one last haymaker: Liverpool dropping another nine-figure fee, this time on Bradley Barcola. That's two galaxy-brain signings in a month for a team that already looked stacked, and it's part of why we're already circling back around to believing in the Reds again, even after two underwhelming performances to open the season.
With several teams still dealing with injuries following the transfer window, check our Premier League injury news and suspensions before locking in your Gameweek 3 bets.
Odds referenced below were pulled Friday and can move over the weekend, so check our soccer betting odds board before you lock anything in.

Ipswich vs Liverpool Prediction & Best Bets
Ipswich host Liverpool to open Gameweek 3, and we can't get past how short Liverpool are priced here. Minus-185 to beat a team that's lost every ounce of confidence it built up during its promotion season feels rich for a Liverpool side that hasn't looked settled through two games itself.
We do like a piece of this one though, just not the way the market is steering us. Ipswich have allowed 15 shots on target across their first two matches, 11 of them against Manchester United alone, and Alexander Isak should see enough of the ball in dangerous spots to get his looks in. We like Isak over 1.5 shots on target at +110. If you want to build on it, pairing that with an anytime goalscorer price gets you a much better number, though obviously with more risk attached.
On the team side, we're steering away from Liverpool's moneyline entirely. Ipswich were level with Manchester United for a half at Old Trafford before a Harry Maguire handball opened the door, and they were competitive again in defeat against Sunderland. Neither Liverpool's attack nor their defense has convinced us of much yet this season, so we're backing Ipswich double chance at +140 instead of laying the moneyline juice. If you'd rather stay on Liverpool, their double chance is available around even money with both teams to score and gets you off the hook if Ipswich manage a draw.
Newcastle vs Bournemouth Prediction & Best Bets
Newcastle host Bournemouth to kick off the busiest Saturday of the season, and we're comfortable backing the home side even after all the summer turnover on Tyneside. Anthony Elanga has been the story so far, and his solo goal against Liverpool, in which he ran down a defender from a standing start over 40 yards, tells you the pace in this attack hasn't gone anywhere. Nico Gonzalez's midfield debut only adds to that, giving Newcastle actual depth after selling off pieces of last year's rotation.
Bournemouth have been fine under Marco Rosa, not great, and we're not sold on their back line yet against a Newcastle team that's healthy and playing with real bite at home. Newcastle were still showing plus-money on the moneyline in a few markets as we recorded, so shop around before kickoff since that number was moving.

Saturday Premier League GW3 Betting Tips
Brentford host Sunderland with the hype train fully departed the station. Brentford are minus-220 favorites at home, sit with the second-best odds for a clean sheet on the entire card, and are the third-shortest favorite of the weekend, which is a lot of superlatives for a team that was in the Championship two years ago. We're passing on backing that number outright given how sturdy Sunderland's defense looked a year ago, but if you want in, pairing Brentford's moneyline with the early Man City kickoff against Coventry into a parlay is the more interesting way to get exposure to both without laying an ugly price on either alone.
Brighton host Leeds United in a matchup we'd like a lot more if Brighton weren't still working through injury absences in the spine of their team. Both sides have a case for chasing European spots this season based on how they've actually played, not just their transfer business, and that kind of even matchup usually points us toward the draw. We like it at +270.
Fulham hosting Crystal Palace is our favorite side bet of the day. Fulham haven't had the smoothest start, partly due to a brutal opening schedule, but Craven Cottage against a Palace side still figuring out its center-back rotation after a summer of additions and missing Jean-Philippe Mateta up top is a good spot to bet the hosts. Adam Wharton remains excellent for Palace, arguably the best midfielder on the pitch most weeks, but one player carrying a midfield only goes so far. We like Fulham on the moneyline at +125.
Tottenham host Nottingham Forest, and Forest arrive with nothing to show for two games against Liverpool and Spurs despite a genuinely aggressive transfer window. Their relegation price has already been cut roughly in half over two weeks, from plus-5000 to plus-1400, which says more about the market's early overreaction than anything Forest have actually done wrong. We're not backing Forest's moneyline outright at +145, since at some point Tottenham have to find their attack, but Spurs haven't created much of anything through two games regardless of who they've started out wide. We like Forest's team total over 1.5 goals at +120.
Hull City hosting Aston Villa is the game we keep coming back to. Hull sit on six points already, Villa are still searching for their first goal of the season, and yet Villa remain minus-money favorites on the road because of the name on the badge rather than anything they've shown on the pitch. Half of Villa's matchday squad is still learning each other's names after a chaotic window, and that's not a shot at any individual player, it's just not a lineup with any training-ground chemistry yet. We like the draw at +270, and if you want the safer version of the same read, Hull's double chance gets it done without needing the exact scoreline. We also nearly talked ourselves into a Hull corners angle here, but we couldn't nail down a number we trusted enough to print, so consider that one a live scratch.
Elsewhere on the slate, Hull's own path to safety looks less scary than the market suggests. They're still the outright favorite to finish bottom of the table at plus-180, which feels off given they've already beaten a Manchester United side that spent real money this summer and are three deep at nearly every position after their own window. If you want a contrarian relegation angle, Sunderland or Ipswich to finish last both look like better value than backing against Hull right now.
Everton vs Manchester United Prediction & Best Bets
Everton host Manchester United in the first of Sunday's two marquee matchups, and this is a spot where we think the market is overrating a United team that still hasn't found any consistency. United lost their opener, then scored five, including a hat trick from Fernandez, and now travel to a ground where Everton have won and drawn their two games under David Moyes.
Everton's transfer window wasn't kind to them. They lost Iliman Ndiaye to a rival and let Beto go, and while Ainsley Maitland-Niles adds depth at right back and Jack Grealish's loan continues to make sense on the ball, this isn't a squad that got demonstrably better. What it does have is Thierno Barry leading the line and a manager who sets his teams up to make road trips miserable, which is exactly what United have already shown they're vulnerable to. We like Everton's double chance paired with under 3.5 goals at +100, and if you'd rather isolate the total, under 2.5 goals on its own is out at +115. Both of last season's meetings between these two finished 1-0 to the away side, and we wouldn't be shocked to see something similarly tight here.
Arsenal vs Chelsea Prediction & Best Bet
Everyone's circling this one, and for good reason. Chelsea have looked like the league's best answer to Arsenal so far, and a result at the Emirates would be the loudest statement either side could make before Champions League football even starts.
Arsenal haven't allowed a goal yet, sitting on a minuscule 0.26 expected goals conceded per game through two matches, and they're doing it with a settled, well-drilled back line. Chelsea have gone the opposite direction, scoring for fun (four goals against Brighton on 26% possession, for what it's worth) while leaking chances at the other end, and they'll be doing it again without Moises Caicedo and, likely, without much left in reserve at the base of midfield after selling Enzo Fernandez. Levi Colwill and Reece James should help, but neither is Caicedo.
We're not messing around with the goals total here given how unpredictable Chelsea's matches have been. Arsenal's moneyline is out at -145, and rather than pair it with a total that could go either way, we're building a same-game parlay with Arsenal to win and over 7.5 total corners, which prices out to +106. Arsenal's own corner total was too short to bet on its own, sitting around -160, so this is the more creative way to get to a number worth betting. If you'd rather keep it simple and lean the other way, Chelsea's track record of dragging teams into track meets makes under 2.5 goals at +105 a reasonable alternate if Arsenal's press doesn't force the turnovers we expect.
