Schneider has signed with the Red Stars ahead of the 2024 season, her new club announced Monday. The deal also includes an option for the 2025 campaign. "Sydney is a very exciting young goalkeeper that we're thrilled to welcome to Chicago," said Karen Leetzow, Chicago Red Stars president. "With two World Cups and Champions League experience under her belt, Sydney will be successful in this league."
ANALYSIS
Schneider comes from Czech outfit Sparta Prague, a side that she represented in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, and she also has experience at the NWSL level due to her previous stints at the Current and the Spirit. She should contend for a starting role with the Red Stars.
