Signs new deal with Philly

Bueno has signed a new contract with Philadelphia until the end of the 2026 MLS season, the club announced Friday. The deal also includes an option for the 2027 campaign. "Jesus' growth and development over the last two seasons is a testament to his work ethic and potential," said Philadelphia Union's Sporting Director, Ernst Tanner. "He has proven to be an important piece to our midfield; aggressive and advantageous in our transition on attack. We're happy to be able to reward him with a new contract."
ANALYSIS
Bueno made a career-high 24 appearances, as well as a career-high 10 starts, for the Union during the 2023 season, as the team reached the playoffs and was eliminated by FC Cincinnati in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. He made his presence felt in the Leagues Cup as well, where he bagged two goals and added three assists in seven appearances (six starts).
