Alfonso Herrero

Herrero was ever-present between the posts for Malaga in 2025/26, playing all 46 matches, conceding 54 goals and keeping 13 clean sheets as they won promotion, and he carries that starting job into their La Liga return. Newly promoted keepers on defensively stretched sides tend to fall into the busy-keeper category, and Herrero should follow suit, facing plenty of shots and piling up saves even as clean sheets prove hard to come by. That makes him a reasonable option in save-based scoring and a poor one where shutouts drive the points. His starting spot looks secure for now, which removes the rotation worry that dogs many budget keepers. Treat him as a cheap source of save volume, not a clean-sheet play, at least until Malaga show they can hold their own defensively in the top flight.
