David Akintola
30-Year-Old
AC Omonia
Rejoins Omonia permanently
Akintola has joined Omonia on a permanent transfer after his Hull City contract was mutually terminated, the club announced.
ANALYSIS
Akintola returns to Omonia for a second spell, having previously worn the club's colors on loan from Midtjylland during the 2019-20 season. He spent last season at Hull, helping the club to a historic promotion to the Premier League, though his most recent appearance came back on August 28 in an EFL Cup match, suggesting he'd fallen down the pecking order since the club's top-flight return. He now gets a fresh start back in Cyprus, a country and club where he's already a familiar face.
