Signs with D.C. United
Nono signed a three year contract with D.C. United through 2028-29, with an option for 2029-30, after departing Kashima Antlers, the club announced.
ANALYSIS
Nono made his J1 League debut for Kashima in February 2024 and quickly made an impact, scoring nine goals on 47 shots that season and earning a spot on the J1 League Best XI as a rookie. He helped Kashima win the 2025 J1 League title, the club's first in nine years, and continued to contribute defensively this past season, starting 10 of the club's 11 clean sheets en route to the J. League 100-Year Vision East Region Best XI. The 24-year-old, capable of playing right back or right midfield, previously starred at Kwansei Gakuin University before turning professional. Nono is expected to add versatility and attacking threat to D.C. United's backline once his paperwork is finalized.
