Tsitsipas is 9-4 in his last 13 matches, with Alex de Minaur, Joao Fonseca (abdomen) and Felix Auger-Aliassime accounting for three of those four losses. Fils has a dominant 5-0 head-to-head edge over Tsitsipas, but that only adds to the pressure and expectations on the 22-year-old Frenchman here coming off his first Masters 1000 title, while Tsitsipas can swing freely as the underdog.
Stan Wawrinka (+350) vs. Matteo Berrettini
Wawrinka will be motivated to extend his Grand Slam career in his final major tournament. The three-time Grand Slam champion was originally snubbed when the US Open handed out wild cards, but an injury freed up a spot for the 41-year-old star. Wawrinka has struggled to a 7-15 record in 2026, but he went toe-to-toe with Berrettini at Wimbledon in a match the Italian won in four tight tiebreak sets. Berrettini has scuffled since then, with a 1-3 record in his last four matches. Break chances will likely remain at a premium in this rematch, so it could come down to just a few key points again.

US Open Tennis Odds: Lock It In
Linda Noskova (-356) vs. Katie Volynets
Noskova took her game to the next level by winning her maiden Grand Slam title at Wimbledon to climb into the top 10, but the 21-year-old Czech had already established herself as a top-30 player for a while before then while reaching the third round of the last two hard-court Grand Slams. The sixth-ranked Noskova is likely to overpower the 78th-ranked Volynets, who is 0-9 against top-30 competition since the start of 2025.
Juncheng Shang (-212) vs. Marco Trungelliti
Shang missed a chunk of this season due to injury, but the talented 21-year-old has looked impressive this month since his return, notching a top-20 win over Andrey Rublev at the Canadian Open. Shang previously reached the top 50 in the rankings and plays an aggressive game that works well on hard courts. The 83rd-ranked Trungelliti has never been ranked in the top 75, and he has just a 3-11 career record on hard courts while logging his best results on clay.

US Open Tennis Predictions: Value Bets
Valentin Vacherot (-112) vs. Aleksandar Kovacevic
Vacherot is ranked 23rd and has a 23-12 career hard-court record. The big-serving Monegasque has a 61-spot edge in the rankings over Kovacevic, who has a career 44-76 record, including a 15-21 mark this year. Kovacevic will have the crowd in his corner as a New York native, but that hasn't helped him win a U.S. Open match before, as he's 0-3 in his career at this tournament and 1-9 in Grand Slam main draw matches.
Dalibor Svrcina (-111) vs. Valentin Royer
Svrcina is in good form, as he just won three matches in qualifying to reach the main draw. The 23-year-old Czech is ranked 134th, but he has been competitive this year with a 5-7 record in ATP Tour main-draw matches. Royer has some points from the last few months of 2025 supporting his No. 75 ranking, but the 25-year-old Frenchman has been atrocious in 2026, with a 4-18 record.
