Quarterfinal action continues Wednesday from the hard courts of New York City's USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Experience could prove to be a pivotal difference-maker in both men's semifinals, while favorites on the women's side try to handle the pressure against underdogs who are or have been ranked in the top five.

US Open Tennis Picks: Upset Alert
Qinwen Zheng (28%/+257) vs. Elena Rybakina
Zheng won seven consecutive games to overcome a 5-0 deficit in the third set of her third-round win over Madison Keys, then did the same thing in the first set of her 7-5, 6-3 fourth-round win over Iga Swiatek. The former world No. 4 is playing with supreme confidence at the moment, with no deficit too large to overcome. You can throw Zheng's No. 121 ranking out the window at this point, while all the pressure is on the shoulders of Rybakina, who would secure the No. 1 ranking for the first time in her career with a win in this match. Rybakina has put her pre-tournament injury concerns to bed, but the gap between her and Zheng typically isn't large. Rybakina has a 4-1 head-to-head edge, but both of their meetings this year have gone to a deciding set, with Zheng taking the first set on both occasions. Zheng is in far better form now than she was for either of the two previous matchups.
Honorable Mention
Mirra Andreeva (36%/+178) vs. Coco Gauff
US Open Tennis Odds: Lock It In
Alexander Zverev (88%/-733) vs. Botic van de Zandschulp
Zverev is 12-4 in his last 16 Grand Slam quarterfinals after losing his first two such matches in his career. The No. 1 seed struggled early in this tournament, getting pushed to five sets twice, but he has found his form, winning his last two matches in straight sets. Van de Zandschulp's tank is likely running close to empty after epic five-setters in each of his last two matches, including a Round of 16 win over Arthur Gea, which set the record for the most points played in a US Open match at 409. The 29-year-old Zverev and 30-year-old van de Zandschulp remarkably haven't faced off before, but there's a large disparity in their comfort at this level, as Zverev is seeking to reach the semifinals of all four Grand Slams this year while van de Zandschulp has a career 0-1 record in Grand Slam quarterfinals.
US Open Tennis Predictions: Value Bets
Karen Khachanov (61%/-156) vs. Alexander Blockx
Khachanov is 2-0 in Grand Slam quarterfinals on hard courts and 0-4 in such matches on other surfaces in his career, and the 2022 US Open semifinalist has earned his opportunity to get back to that stage by taking out No. 3 seed Felix Auger-Aliassime and No. 14 seed Learner Tien in this tournament, The 28th-seeded Blockx is into his first Grand Slam quarterfinal, so this is a new experience for the 21-year-old Belgian, who defeated No. 5 seed Flavio Cobolli in the third round. Prior to this tournament, Blockx was just 7-12 on hard courts in his ATP Tour career. Khachanov is likely to handle the moment better and has proven he can get the job done at this stage before, especially on this surface, which outweighs the 16-spot edge Blockx holds in the rankings.
