Best WNBA Bets Today: Friday, August 28

Steve Bulanda: I think we're getting some value here since Portland is coming off a blowout loss at Dallas. Prior to that, the Fire had not lost a game by more than five points since July. In other words, they may be out of the playoff race, but they are still playing competitive basketball. They beat Atlanta by double digits the last time they met, and I wouldn't be surprised if this game is a lot closer than the spread suggests. For a bigger payout, consider an alt line of +9.5 (+145).

Megan DiLeo Over 17.5 Points + Rebounds (-128) at Atlanta Dream

Jason Shebilske: DiLeo was held to 16 points + rebounds during Tuesday's game against Dallas, but she had hit the over on this mark in each of her previous five appearances. She's hit the over on this mark in one of her two outings against the Dream this season, including a performance with 21 points + rebounds during her most recent appearance against the Dream on July 11. As mentioned above, Portland has succeeded against the Dream this season and could at least keep things competitive once again Friday, and DiLeo's contributions would be crucial to making that happen.
