Magomedov lost to Caio Borralho via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Just four months ago, Magomedov was dominating the man that is now UFC Middleweight Champion, Sean Strickland. Then the second round started and Abus was done. He didn't gas out anywhere near as badly in this fight as he did in that one, but Magomedov clearly tired once again as the bout progressed. There was actually a case to be made he was up two rounds heading into the final frame. It ended up feeling like a rout when all was said and done, but Magomedov actually looked reasonably strong most of this fight against a good opponent. His margin for error now completely gone, Abus will likely need a win his next time out in order to extend his time with the company.

He knocked out Dustin Stoltzfus in 19 seconds in his company debut last September, but that told us nothing about his real potential. We got our answers here, and they weren't positive.
