Occupies starter's crease
Skinner is in the starter's crease at morning skate, indicating he will defend the home crease versus Vancouver on Saturday, Ryan Rishaug of TSN reports.

Skinner has sat out the last two games after giving up four goals on 15 shots in a 4-3 loss to Vancouver in Game 3. The netminder will get a chance to redeem himself in Game 6 and try to extend the series to a Game 7 matchup Monday.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
There's a real case to be made that Skinner was Edmonton's best goaltender a season ago, but the team still refused to give him an extended run as the No. 1 option, instead preferring to rely on veterans Mike Smith and Mikko Koskinen. Skinner played in 13 games for the Oilers in 2021-22, posting a mediocre 6-6-0 record and a solid 2.62 GAA and .913 save percentage. Koskinen is gone and Smith is injured and unlikely to ever play again, but Edmonton signed Jack Campbell to a lucrative deal in free agency in July to serve as the team's starter. Skinner is penciled in as the backup, leaving him with little to no fantasy appeal.
