The New York Knicks defeated the Indiana Pacers, 121-91, in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday. The Knicks lead the series 3-2.

The Knicks dominated Game 5 from start to finish, establishing their terms early on and setting the tempo against an Indiana team that looked motivated following back-to-back wins on its home court. The Knicks raced to a 38-32 lead in the first quarter and never looked back, and by the time the second quarter ended, New York was up by 15 points (69-54). The Knicks didn’t step off the gas in the second half and bolstered their lead even further, winning both the third (27-21) and fourth (25-16) quarters. This was a statement win for the Knicks, as they were coming off a blowout loss in Game 4. The Knicks now need to win just one more game to claim a spot in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Jalen Brunson led the way with 44 points for the Knicks, and he also added seven assists and four rebounds. Josh Hart had 18 points, 11 rebounds and three assists. Miles McBride made a spot start and finished with 17 points and four assists. Alec Burks added 18 points coming off the bench. Isaiah Hartenstein pulled down 17 rebounds. The Knicks shot 46.5 percent from the field.

Pascal Siakam was the leading scorer for the Pacers after posting 22 points and eight rebounds. Tyrese Haliburton notched 13 points, five assists, two rebounds, two steals and two blocks. Andrew Nembhard posted 11 points and four assists. Myles Turner posted 16 points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks. The Pacers shot 43.1 percent from the field.
