Kevin Magnussen

Haas F1 Team
Denmark
2023 Fantasy Outlook
The Danish driver had difficulties finishing in the points during the latter half of the 2022 season after starting off strong with three Top-10 finishes in the first four races. But alongside Haas' many mechanical issues last year- leading to five different DNFs out of 22 race starts for Magnussen- the driver of the No. 20 found it difficult to continuously outperform his younger teammate Mick Schumacher following the summer break. Despite his performance struggles, however, a wet qualifying session at the Brazil Grand Prix brought Magnussen (and Haas, by extension) his first-ever pole position in Formula One, and a moment to be remembered fondly in the years to come. Magnussen urgently needs a good season going into 2023, both for the sake of his own confidence and for the benefit of his team; with any luck, Haas will have remedied the issues with the VF-22 that plagued the Dutchman throughout the 2022 season and Magnussen will be able to put up some good points for the team this year. Huge Crash with Sergio Perez
Formula One
May 28, 2024
Magnussen crashed on lap 1 and finished 20th at the Monaco Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit de Monaco on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
After starting in the rear, Mangussen would make an aggressive move to the inside of Sergio Perez at Beau Rivage. The front left of the Haas machine would contact the right rear wheel of the Red Bull and the crash would be on. The two would collect an unsuspecting Nico Hulkenberg in the melee and all three-drivers would be forced out on lap 1. Magnussen will look to rebound next round out in Canada.
