Pitchers
Johnny Cueto, SF at PHI ($53): Don't fear the boogeyman that is the Phillies despite last night's unforeseen thrashing of Madison Bumgarner. They're still the squad that has the third-lowest wOBA in the majors against righties (.295) along with a 21.5 percent strikeout rate. Cueto also brings 30-point fantasy upside, as he's demonstrated in four of his last eight starts.
Jeff Locke, PIT at ATL ($26): We'll go with a strict tournament play in Locke in order to save some cash, as he can be deployed in the right situation with success from time to time. Wednesday shapes up as such, with the Braves checking in as the worst team in the majors against left-handed pitching with a .282 wOBA and anemic .103 ISO. He also racked up 28.6 fantasy points against this same squad the only other time he faced them this season back on May 19 and should make for a very low-owned option, albeit a risky one, given his recent struggles.

Catcher
Salvador Perez, KC at TB ($13): Perez's selection is as much about value as anything else, as it's rare to find a player with solid upside priced much lower than this. He flashed his upside Tuesday with 14 fantasy points that he garnered on the strength of a two-run homer and now faces Rays southpaw Drew Smyly who, despite a strong outing in his last game, has had a mostly disastrous season. Perez also has a .341 wOBA against lefty pitching this season while Smyly has surrendered an identical figure to right-handed bats, along with 17 homers.
First Base
David Ortiz, BOS at SEA ($20): Ortiz also seems underpriced relative to his potential and he brings along a highly favorable history against Mariners starter Hisashi Iwakuma, whom he's tagged for five hits—three of them homers—and six RBI over 10 career at-bats. His success against righties in general is outstanding as he's generated a .454 wOBA and .371 ISO, along with 22 of 25 homers, against that handedness. Iwakuma has given up a .344 wOBA and nine homers to lefty bats.
Second Base
Robinson Cano, SEA vs. BOS ($17): On the other side of the Red Sox/Mariners tilt is Cano, who's tagged Red Sox starter Rick Porcello to the tune of a .370/.414/.556 slash line over 27 career at-bats, a tally that includes a pair of doubles, a homer and four RBI. He's also blasted righties for a .406 wOBA, .277 ISO and 39.3 percent hard contact rate. Porcello has been quite tough on lefty bats, particularly on the road, but has been surrendering more hard contact overall as the season has unfolded, topping out at a 31.5 percent rate in July.
Third Base
Manny Machado, BAL vs. TEX ($14): Machado is bargain priced Wednesday, making him a great high-upside tournament play. The matchup against Cole Hamels isn't ideal but Machado has a .387 wOBA and .208 ISO against southpaws, along with a 35.8 percent hard contact rate. He also boasts a .411 wOBA overall at Camden Yards while Hamels has given up a .321 wOBA to righty bats, along with a 30.1 percent hard contact rate overall.
Shortstop
Marcus Semien, OAK at LAA ($14): Semien brings considerable power potential against Angels starter Jered Weaver, whose pedestrian fastball he should certainly be able to catch up with. Granted, Weaver still has enough guile to mystify opposing offenses from time to time, but always has the potential to unravel in a hurry as well. Semien has enjoyed a power surge this season with a career-high 22 homers, while Weaver has given up a .370 wOBA, 13 homers and a 38.7 percent hard contact rate to righty bats.
Outfield
Michael Saunders, TOR at HOU ($17): Saunders gets to take aim at Astros starter Collin McHugh, who he's hit .417/.462/.917 against over 12 career at-bats with a pair of homers and five RBI. Sanders boasts a .362 wOBA and .216 ISO versus righties, along with a 41.3 percent hard contact rate when facing them away from Rogers Centre, while McHugh has surrendered a .356 wOBA and eight homers to left-handed hitters this season. He's also given up a .356 wOBA and 5.33 ERA over his last five starts, his worst stretch since the first month of the season.
Jackie Bradley, Jr., BOS at SEA ($18): Bradley is the second left-handed Red Sox bat worth rostering against Iwakuma, whose vulnerability to right-handed bats we detailed in Ortiz's entry. Bradley has been lights out against righty arms this year as well, with a .397 wOBA and .281 ISO that rises to .400 and .340, respectively, when facing them on the road.
Cameron Maybin, DET vs. CWS ($11): Maybin is yet another value play that stands out, given that he's scored double-digit fantasy points in five of his last six games. The matchup against Chris Sale is a tough one, but Maybin is mashing both handedness of pitcher this season and has a .402 wOBA against lefties with an even better .432 figure against them at home. Sale has been solid overall but has surrendered a lot more contact than usual this season, including 13 of his 17 homers to right-handed hitters.
