Pitcher
Kenta Maeda, LAD vs. PIT ($8,700): There aren't many surefire top-dollar options Wednesday, and that leads me to believe the Cardinals' Lance Lynn will have high ownership. Maeda offers a nice contrarian option. He's allowed three runs over his last 12.0 innings and faces a weak-hitting Pirates offense that ranks 28th in runs scored entering Tuesday. His 26.3 percent strikeout rate gives him some upside, as does facing opposing pitcher Chad Kuhl and his 5.54 ERA, which has the Dodgers as the biggest favorite on the docket.
Catcher
Alex Avila, DET at ARI ($2,900): Avila sat out Tuesday, so he should be in line to start Wednesday against Zach Godley. Avila's .505 wOBA and .311 ISO against righties seems like smoke and mirrors given a .320/.161 line last season, but even those totals would play at this price. Godley's .337 wOBA allowed and 11 homers in 63.2 career frames against righties suggest Avila's early showing can continue for at least another day.
First Base
Cody Bellinger, LAD vs. PIT ($3,500): The sample size remains minute, but it's hard to ignore the .478 wOBA and .471 ISO Bellinger owns against righties over 34 at-bats. The price point and the upside are obvious, and facing the aforementioned Kuhl, who is allowing a .498 wOBA to left handers, is the icing on the cake.
Second Base
Kolten Wong, STL vs. CIN ($3,500): Wong saw a 13-game hitting streak snapped Tuesday, which simply illustrates his safe floor. He possesses a .395 wOBA against righties thus far, and his position atop the order while Dexter Flower remains sidelined gives him run-scoring potential.
Third Base
Anthony Rendon, WAS at BAL ($3,400): There are nine players at the hot corner priced within $200 of each other, which leaves little room for value. Since his 10 RBI, 6-for-6 outing on April 30, Rendon has gone 8-of-25 (.320) with eight RBI. His .528 wOBA and 1.271 OPS against lefties suggests plenty of potential against Wade Miley.
Shortstop
Chris Owings, ARI vs. DET ($3,200): Owings ranks second among his teammates with a .405 wOBA and .952 OPS against lefties through the season's first month-plus, both of which are ahead of slugger Paul Goldschmidt in just five fewer plate appearances. The game has a current total of 10.0 runs, leaving Owings as a cheap buy-in for a potentially high-scoring affair.
Outfield
Ryan Braun, MIL vs. BOS ($3,700): Braun's price is a little low, likely a result of his brief absence from the lineup due to shoulder soreness. He returned Tuesday and was no worse for his wear. He has a .382 wOBA and .308 ISO against righties thus far, slightly up from last year's .365/.226, and has an inviting matchup with Kyle Kendrick, who allowed six runs in 4.0 innings in his first appearance of 2017. Kendrick allowed righties to post a .374 wOBA and .875 OPS in 2015 before missing last season due to injury.
Justin Upton, DET at ARi ($3,400): Upton is a bit of a feast-or-famine option that is better suited for a tournament lineup, as he hasn't logged a multi-hit game since April 30. But he still boasts a solid .385 wOBA and .264 ISO despite a 33.3 percent strikeout rate. He's enjoyed facing his former team, owning a .908 OPS over his last 48 at-bats at Chase Field. Diamondbacks starter Zach Godley will be making his second start of the season after allowing a .340 wOBA to righties last year.
Corey Dickerson, TAM vs. KAN ($3,300): Dickerson's .360 wOBA against righties and position atop the order should play well against Royals starter Jason Hammel, who allowed a .344 wOBA to lefties last season.
