FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Tuesday is a light schedule with only five games to be played. Sometimes, the best chance of winning a daily league is when there are less options to agonize over. Although it's always fun to tinker with your lineup, I'll try to help ease some of the tension. Here is a look at some solid value options for your FanDuel lineup.

Tuesday Value Plays

Point Guard

Langston Galloway, NYK, $5,300 – Galloway had a 9.4 point dud a couple of games ago against the Pacers but has scored at least 20 FanDuel points in six of his last seven games overall. In three of those games, he had at least 31.1 points. Galloway is going to get plenty of minutes as one of the Knicks' starting guards and is a solid play at a cheap price Tuesday.

Darren Collison, SAC, $6,700 – Collison and the Kings play the Warriors on Tuesday, so it could be a shootout. He had 37.5 points in his last game against a solid defensive team in the Pacers and scored 31.2 points in his last game against the Warriors on Jan. 23. Although he is going to cost more than Galloway, he could match or exceed the production of some of the high-salary options.

Shooting Guard

Arron Afflalo, DEN, $5,500 – There are slim pickings at shooting guard Tuesday, as there is Klay Thompson at $8,200 and a bunch of inconsistent options. Afflalo has scored 8.7 and 13.9 FanDuel points in his last two games respectively but had at least 20.7 FanDuel points in five straight games before that. He has a favorable matchup against Philadelphia, so he might be the safest bet of the second and third-tier bunch.

Small Forward

Robert Covington, PHI, $5,700 – Covington's poor field goal percentage is a bit of a drain to full-season owners, but that doesn't hurt daily players. He is providing excellent defensive stats and is one of the main scoring options for Philadelphia. Covington put up 41.6 FanDuel points Monday and has scored at least 22.7 FanDuel points in five straight games. He has a nice matchup against the Nuggets and looks to be a great play for the price Tuesday.

Joe Ingles, UTA, $4,400 – Ingles continues to start for the Jazz and has been pretty matchup proof, scoring at least 20.3 FanDuel points in each of his last five games. He is not a flashy option, but could provide great value for a bargain price Tuesday.

Power Forward

Brandon Bass, BOS, $5,300 – Bass continues to start for the Celtics and has produced for FanDuel players, scoring at least 21.8 points in six of his last seven games. He has also scored at least 30.1 points in three games over that same stretch. Bass has a favorable matchup against a poor Knicks team Tuesday, making him a nice value play.

Louis Amundson, NYK, $4,300 – We're going deep in the bargain bin again on this one, but the Knicks are still thin up front and continue to start Amundson. He provides a poor team with a lot of energy, so continue to expect him to have a solid role Tuesday. Amundson has had at least 23.1 FanDuel points in each of his last four games, so he could provide solid value for peanuts against an underwhelming Celtics squad.

Center

Jusuf Nurkic, DEN, $4,800 – Tuesday might be the day to spend your money on a high-priced center, as some of the higher price options (DeMarcus Cousins at $10,900 and Hassan Whiteside at $7,000) are strong plays. However, if you are looking to go cheap, Nurkic should be your man. He has scored at least 24.4 points in three of his last four games and has a favorable matchup against Philadelphia.
