Point Guard
Norris Cole, $4,200 - This pick is only good if Tyreke Evans misses out on the tilt against Charlotte. Cole would be in line for at least minutes in the high-20s and would be counted on to pick up some of the scoring slack. He has 22 fantasy points in each of his last two games making him a prime punt candidate for the position. Check the updates on Evans before deciding to use Cole.
Brandon Knight, $6,800 - Knight missed the Suns' last game with a bout of food poisoning but practiced Wednesday and should be back to full strength for tonight's game. Without Eric Bledsoe, Knight is the team's top scoring option who has averaged over 35 fantasy points over his last four games. The matchup with the Celtics is less than ideal but Knight logs enough minutes to make value and then some here.
Shooting Guard
Devin Booker, $4,200 - It's probably a natural reaction to pass over Booker if you roster Knight but it's a fine strategy to roster both. The two players combined are $11,000 and expected 50-plus points out of both combined seems like it's a reasonable floor to expect. Booker has at least 22 fantasy points in four of his last five games and the other game, a 16-point effort, won't kill a lineup considering the price here.
Gerald Green, $4,200 - Green has seen an uptick in minutes on the Heat's current road trip and responded with consistent fantasy production. While receiving at least 33 minutes of playing time in each of the last four he's scored double-digit points and had at least 22 fantasy points in each. The injury to Goran Dragic will keep his minutes secure and he could see a bigger role if Dwyane Wade handles the point more with Beno Udrih being less than effective.
Small Forward
Khris Middleton, $6,900 - Despite surpassing his value on a pretty consistent basis over the last few weeks, Middleton will likely be under-owned tonight with some elite options at the position in play. Middleton plays more minutes than anyone on the Bucks and has at least 36 fantasy points in four of his last five games. His lower production earlier this season is likely keeping the price down so take advantage before it eclipses $7,000.
Danilo Gallinari, $7,300 - Getting hurt and getting a little mid-season rest may have been a blessing in disguise for Gallinari who has caught fire since returning to the court. He's scored at least 20 points in every game since (six games) and has scored at least 32 fantasy points in each contest. Miami has struggled defending opposing small forwards this season as Luol Deng isn't nearly the defender he once was. It doesn't hurt either that the Heat are playing their fifth straight road game on the West Coast.
Power Forward
Nene Hilario, $4,200 - Marcin Gortat has already been ruled out for tonight's game in Indiana meaning Hilario will be in line to get his third consecutive start. The big man is coming back from a triceps and calf injury but hasn't shown any rust. He's scored 25.9 and 22.4 fantasy points in his two games back and draws a favorable matchup against the big men of the Pacers. It's also encouraging that his minutes increased from 20 to 25 minutes over the first two games so at least minutes in the mid-20s can be expected.
Terrence Jones, $4,800 - Jones has quietly worked his way out of the doghouse and has even been inserted into the starting five for the start of the second half as of late. He's played over 30 minutes in three of his last four games and responded with 28.3, 35.3 and 26.6 in those contests. At this point Jones has much more upside that teammate Clint Capela ($4,700) especially if he continues to get the playing time. The Rockets still play up-tempo and it doesn't hurt that they get a tired road team in Cleveland who just lost in San Antonio last night.
Center
Zaza Pachulia, $6,800 - One of the Golden Rules of DFS is to have a short memory and not hold a grudge against a player. Pachulia left owners up in arms Wednesday night when he was a late scratch after lineups had already locked. However, it was likely a routine night off for the big man and he should be ready to go to night. Last season the Bulls were a team to avoid using players against but this season, especially for big men, they've been much easier to exploit defensively. Pau Gasol is putting up some nice fantasy stats but his real life defense isn't what it once was. It would take going back weeks in the game logs to find a game he didn't pass the 30 fantasy point mark and it would be hard to find another player at the position who has been as consistent as Zaza has.
