FanDuel NBA: Sunday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Sunday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

The NBA has nine games on tap Sunday, which is definitely more than usual. While more games could mean more opportunities, the difficult part is that many teams are resting players seemingly at random. With lineups locking as soon as the first game begins, it can be difficult knowing who will be playing in the later games. All-in-all, this is an adventure, but the safer plays tend to be teams that are either still playing for a playoff berth or those that were settled into the lottery weeks ago and are just playing their best guys to finish the year. Let's see what we can find.

Point Guard
Jerian Grant, NY vs. TOR ($4,000):
Grant has been starting at point guard for the Knicks with Jose Calderon injured. There is no update on Calderon's availability, so Grant could be up for another start. He has averaged 12.5 points, 3.8 assists, 3.3 boards and one combined steal/block per game over his last four.

Raymond Felton, DAL at LAC ($4,800): Felton was playing solid ball in place of Deron Williams before he faced his own injury issues and lost the gig to J.J. Barea. However, Barea had to leave Friday's game with a groin issue that gave Felton another opportunity. Felton responded with 11 points, 14 assists, six boards and two steals in 36 minutes. There is no word yet on Barea's availability for Sunday, but if he's out then Felton will get another shot against a Clippers team with nothing left to play for.

Shooting Guard
Wayne Ellington, BKN at IND ($3,700):
Ellington has been stepping up into more of a scoring role since the Nets shut down their main offensive producers. In his last three games he has increased his scoring from 10 points to 14 to 21. His ceiling is relatively low, as he doesn't do a lot besides scoring, but his recent pace of 20+ fantasy points per game outperforms his near-minimum price.

Small Forward
Harrison Barnes, GS at SA ($4,900):
Barnes has had an up-and-down season for the Warriors, but he is finishing it off well, averaging 15.4 points, 6.9 boards and 1.3 assists per game over his last seven.

Power Forward
Thomas Robinson, BKN at IND ($6,700):
Robinson became a fantasy superstar once the Nets shut down the rest of their starters. Over his last six games, he is averaging 15.3 points, 13 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 steals per outing.

Markieff Morris, WAS vs. CHA ($5,800): Morris has taken on a more active role for the Wizards of late, especially in the offensive void left by the injury to John Wall. Over his last four, he is averaging 19.3 points, 7.8 boards, 1.5 assists and 1.5 combined steals and blocks per game.

Center
Nikola Vucevic, ORL at MIA ($8,100):
Vucevic has been playing great ball since he returned from injury, and it's only gotten better as he's worked himself back into the starting lineup. In the five games since his return he has averaged 23.0 points, 8.2 boards, 2.2 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.2 steals per game. On Friday against the Heat, he put up 29 points with six boards, two blocks, a steal and an assist.
