FanDuel NHL: Saturday Values

FanDuel NHL: Saturday Values

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

The main event contests at FanDuel consist of the eight evening games beginning with the 7 p.m. EDT bouts. Here are a handful of options across price points to consider while assembling your lineups.

GOALIE

Matt Murray, PIT vs. DET ($8,900): The Red Wings are averaging just 2.27 goals per game and the second-fewest scoring chances per 60 minutes (18.01). Murray owns a career .930 save percentage and 2.01 GAA, and the Pens are 9-2-1 at home this year. If Marc-Andre Fleury ($8,700) starts, he's an easy pivot and opens up cap space for other skaters.

CENTER

Tyler Seguin, DAL at COL ($8,300): Since joining the Stars, Seguin has posted 259 points -- 115 goals -- through 248 games, and his 3.23 points per 60 minutes rank fourth in the league during the span among skaters with at least 4,000 minutes. Colorado has allowed 2.95 goals per game, too.

Leon Draisaitl, EDM vs. ANA ($5,800):
After exploding with a three-point night in his first game flanking Connor McDavid, Draisaitl's fantasy stock is skyrocketing. The 20-year-old German owns a 16th-ranked 2.11 points per 60 minutes at five-on-five the last two years among skaters with at least 1,250 minutes, and now he's skating with an elite driver of offense. The matchup might drive down Draisaitl's ownership percentage, too.

WING

Vladimir Tarasenko, STL vs. WPG ($8,600): With the fourth-highest points (3.17) and third-highest shots (11.72) per 60 minutes among skaters with at least 3,000 minutes the last three seasons, Tarasenko is a lineup lock in the favorable matchup against Winnipeg on Saturday. The Jets have allowed 3.0 goals per game, after all.

Mikko Rantanen, COL vs. DAL ($4,700):
The Stars allow the fourth-most high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes (11.38) in the league, and Rantanen has seven points -- two goals -- his last six games. The rookie winger is coming off a 60-point season in the AHL and has averaged 2:51 with the man advantage. He's a nice value play.

Jakub Vrana, WAS at TAM ($3,400):
Through 54 games in the AHL the last two years, Vrana has 50 points, and he's expected to be deployed in a top-six role and receive power-play time Saturday. At this salary, Vrana is a lineup lock against the Bolts. Tampa Bay has allowed 19 goals its last four games, too.

DEFENSE

Cam Fowler, ANA at EDM ($4,900): Producing career-high marks in points (0.63) and shots (2.13) per game, Fowler is also averaging the most ice time per game (23:55) during his seven-year tenure in the league. This salary also doesn't match his 13th-ranked 1.57 points per 60 minutes among defenseman with at least 400 minutes this year. Plus, the Oilers are allowing the second-most high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes (12.32) in the league.

Ben Hutton, VAN vs. TOR ($4,000):
Toronto is allowing the fifth-most scoring chances per 60 minutes (22.73) in the league, and Hutton has two goals, five points, 17 shots and 18 blocked shots over his past seven games. To further solidify his high floor, Hutton has averaged 23:04 of ice with 2:01 on the man advantage during the seven-game span.
