You may still be coming down from the greatest Super Bowl of all time, but don't forget about the NHL. There are three games Monday, and the chance to play daily fantasy hockey is there for you now that football is over until the fall. Here are some of the most interesting options available.
GOALIE
Robin Lehner, BUF at NJD ($7,500): Neither of these teams is very good, so figuring out who is going to win is a bit tricky. However, it's not a great day for goalies in general, and there are still reasons to like Lehner in this matchup. He's got a .923 save percentage on the season, and he posted a shutout in his last game. The Devils have also struggled offensively, as they've averaged 2.30 goals and 27.1 shots on net per game.
CENTER
Brayden Schenn, PHI vs. STL ($6,000): Schenn has averaged 3.6 fantasy points per game, which is the same amount as highly-touted teammate Claude Giroux. Schenn's notched 35 points in 50 games, including 21 on the power play. The Blues do have the ninth-ranked penalty kill, but overall they've been much less stingy defensively. They've allowed 3.10 goals per game, thanks to their goaltenders sporting a collective save percentage of .888.
Paul Stastny, STL at PHI ($4,900): Stastny has been up-and-down this season, but recently he's definitely been "up." He's notched eight points in his last eight games, and he's tallied 20 shots on net in that time. He also has 10 power-play points, and the Flyers rank 18th on the penalty kill. The Flyers and Blues are two of the worst teams in goals allowed, so this looks likely to be a high-scoring game.
WING
William Nylander, TOR at NYI ($5,200): Nylander had a night to remember in his last game, notching his first career hat trick to give him 13 goals in 49 games. The Islanders have allowed 32.5 shots on net per contest, third-worst in the NHL. Additionally, Nylander has 16 power-play points, and New York has the 19th-ranked penalty kill.
Kyle Okposo, BUF at NJD ($4,700): Cory Schneider still only has a 2.71 GAA and a .911 save percentage, and the Devils have given up 31.3 shots on goal per tilt. Okposo has been pacing Buffalo's offense all season, and he's tallied 16 goals on 127 shots in 50 games. He's also been excellent on the power play, scoring 17 points while averaging 3:17 per game with the extra man.
Kyle Palmieri, NJD vs. BUF ($4,700): It's a big day for Kyles. Palmieri has been busier than usual recently, tallying 21 shots over his last six games, while the Sabres have given up 33.6 shots on goal per game, the worst average in the league. Buffalo also has the 29th-ranked penalty kill, and Palmieri has played 2:51 with the extra man this season.
DEFENSE
Johnny Boychuk, NYI vs. TOR ($4,300): Toronto has both allowed and taken 32.3 shots on goal per game, both of which bode well for Boychuk's fantasy potential. He's taken 109 shots on net in 46 games, and he's also blocked 96 shots. Boychuk has averaged 2.9 fantasy points per game, so he has the potential to be a good value at this price point.
Nikita Zaitsev, TOR at NYI ($4,300): The 24-year-old rookie has taken on an important role immediately for the Leafs, as he's averaging 22:27 per game. While he only has one goal, he's tallied 20 assists, including six on the power play. He's also blocked 96 shots, so he can help you on that end of the ice as well.
