2013

2008
Rasner's season was derailed by a fractured finger on his pitching hand and the Yankees did not tender him a contract to return for 2008. He'll take a minor-league or NRI to spring training and compete to add organizational depth, but his upside appears to be as a swingman.
2007
After being sent packing by the Nationals last February, Rasner was claimed by the Yankees and spent most of the season in Triple-A. He was serviceable in limited opportunites for New York, but he'll have to pitch well this spring to make the Opening-Day roster and avoid starting the season at Triple-A or looking for work elsewhere.
2006
Rasner got a brief taste of the majors in 2005 and didn't look out of place, but unless he has a great spring he figures to begin the season at Triple-A. If he can add a couple mph to his fastball out of the bullpen, so much the better.
2005
Rasner's 2004 was good enough to get him a spot on the Nationals' 40-man roster. He's still a couple of years from helping the big club though, most likely in the bullpen.
