PITCHER
Brad Peacock, HOU at TOR ($8,100): I'm a believer that the day before the All-Star break can be completely unpredictable, and there can be lots of first-pitch swings to send players on their way for some time off. As such, I don't believe there's great reason to stray from top-priced options like Jon Lester or Yu Darvish. But if you're still bargain shopping, Peacock and his strikeout prowess seem hard to ignore. He's fanned at least seven in eight of nine games, including each of the last four, and carries a 33.3 percent strikeout rate on the road. The Blue Jays can be explosive, but they have just a 91 wRC+ and .170 ISO against righties.
CATCHER
Wilson Ramos, TAM vs. BOS ($2,800): Ramos has homered in three of his last five games, and received the day off Saturday, so unless the club wants to continue to rest his surgically repaired knee, he'll be in the lineup Sunday against lefty David Price. Ramos posted a stellar .414 wOBA and .301 ISO against opposite-handed arms last year.
FIRST BASE
Jose Abreu, CWS at COL ($4,400): Abreu has decimated left-handed pitching to the tune of a .477 wOBA, 203 wRC+ and 1.135 OPS over 87 plate appearances. Meanwhile, Rockies starter Kyle Freeland has allowed nine runs over his last 11.1 innings, and while he does a good job of keeping the ball on the ground (62.4 percent ground-ball rate to righties at home), he's allowed seven home runs and .391 wOBA to righties since June 1.
SECOND BASE
Rougned Odor, TEX vs. LAA ($3,600): You're clearly gambling on a home run (or more) with this purchase, but that seems like a worthwhile risk Sunday. Odor has homered in five of his last eight games, and he has a .243 ISO against righties compared to .048 against lefties. Halos starter JC Ramirez counters by allowing 13 homers to 199 lefties faced against just four to 210 righties, while 23.6 percent of the fly balls he allows to opposite-handed hitters leave the yard.
THIRD BASE
Anthony Rendon, WAS vs. ATL ($3,700): Braves' starter Sean Newcomb struggled in his last outing against the Astros, arguably the only "real" offense he's faced in his rookie season, allowing 10 hits and seven runs over 3.1 innings. The Nationals are an equally capable offense, and Rendon leads the way against lefties, having posted a .531 wOBA, 232 wRC+, .435 ISO and 1.317 OPS.
SHORTSTOP
Carlos Correa, HOU at TOR ($4,300): There's a plethora of southpaws on the hill Sunday, which makes for a plethora of inviting right-handed bats. Correa is one of four Astros regulars with a wOBA above .400, with his splits sitting at a .423 wOBA, 173 wRC+ and 1.017 OPS. Jays starter J.A. Happ has a 4.15 ERA at home, and though he's only allowed nine homers to date, seven have come righties.
OUTFIELD
Mark Trumbo, BAL at MIN ($3,500): Trumbo brings a modest seven-game hitting streak, including three home runs, into Sunday when he'll face Kyle Gibson and his 6.30 home ERA. Trumbo has a .184 ISO against righties on the road, his highest of the four possible options, and his .333 wOBA and 104 wRC+, when paired with his current surge, make for an intriguing play.
Byron Buxton, MIN vs. BAL ($2,800): Buxton is enjoying a fine start to July, posting a .419 wOBA, 163 wRC+ and .979 OPS, adding three stolen bases in seven games. Orioles starter Ubaldo Jimenez has a 6.31 ERA on the road, and while he's been tough on right-handed bats (.293 wOBA allowed), Buxton's current form and price make him worth the risk while opening up salary space elsewhere.
Kyle Schwarber, CHC vs. PIT ($2,300): Schwarber is showing he worked on a few things while in the minors, namely taking pitches and a willingness to go to the opposite field. It's resulted in hits in consecutive games, including a homer, and despite his woeful start to the year, he has a career .349 wOBA and .251 ISO against righties. It's hard to find more upside for the price, and that tag makes the risk nearly zero.
