FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

There might be no better time for advertising daily fantasy games than at this point in the regular season. For those playing in full-season leagues who are out of contention, there is still plenty of excitement to be had in the daily world. There are six games in the NBA Tuesday, leaving plenty of options to choose from when selecting your lineup. Let's take a look at some of the better bargains on the shelf to hopefully add some money to your bank accounts.

Tuesday Value Plays

Point Guard

Tony Parker, $5,800, SAN: On the surface, Parker might not appear to be the strongest of plays Tuesday. He has struggled of late by scoring eight points or less in each of his last three games. However, owners should take note that he scored 21 points to go along with six rebounds, six assists, and three steals in 28 minutes against the Thunder just seven games ago, resulting in 43.2 FanDuel points. The Thunder struggle on defense, so Parker looks to be another strong play Tuesday.

Zach LaVine, $5,700, MIN:Ricky Rubio (ankle) is officially done for the rest of the season, leaving LaVine to continue to carry the load at the point. He has already played at least 40 minutes in five of his last seven games with Rubio out of action. Turnovers are a problem, but his sheer volume of minutes helps to increase his value and has resulted in at least 20.5 FanDuel points in six of his last seven games. Look for him to produce at a cheap price again Tuesday.

Shooting Guard

Danny Green, $5,200, SAN: Like Parker, Green should be able to take advantage of the Thunder's poor defense Tuesday. He produced 20.9 FanDuel points in their last game in only 23 minutes. In his last two games against the Nuggets and Warriors, Green produced 25.7 and 34.7 FanDuel points respectively. I'm thinking this is going to be a shootout, leaving Green with the opportunity to put up a nice stat line.

Ben McLemore, $4,300, SAC: McLemore has seen significant run of late as he has played at least 30 minutes in each of his last five games. While that increased playing time hasn't resulted in increased production every night, McLemore has produced at least 23.8 FanDuel points in each of his last three games. The intriguing part of Tuesday's matchup is that it comes against the defensively challenged Timberwolves. Considering his low sticker price, McLemore is worth a look.

Small Forward

Wesley Johnson, $4,500, LAL: The Lakers finish up a back-to-back against the Clippers Tuesday, leaving Johnson as an intriguing matchup as he produced 19.8 FanDuel points in Sunday's game. Johnson's minutes have increased of late as he has played at least 32 minutes in five of his last six games. Although the Lakers lean on him for his shooting ability, he has contributed at least eight rebounds in four of his last six games. While it's not likely that he is going to explode for a big night, he's likely to see plenty of minutes again and put up solid production at a discounted price.

Power Forward

Marvin Williams, $5,000, CHA: Williams has increased his offensive output of late as he has scored at least 10 points in each of his last five games. Although his increased scoring is important, FanDuel participants should also take note that he has recorded at least one steal and at least five rebounds in five of his last six games. The Hornets play the Heat on Tuesday, a team that often goes with a smaller lineup that would favor Williams. The Heat are a solid defensive team, but Williams is still a nice value play Tuesday.

Center

Justin Hamilton, $5,100, MIN: Hamilton finds himself with another opportunity for increased minutes Tuesday with Gorgui Dieng (concussion) out of action again. Dieng has missed the team's last three games already, and Hamilton has been able to produce at least 18.3 FanDuel points in each of those games. He cashed in with 31.8 points in his last game Friday against the Magic and has another favorable matchup against the Kings' porous interior defense Tuesday.

Brandan Wright, $4,900, PHO: It's hard to say that someone in this price range is a safe play, but Wright feels like that Tuesday with Alex Len (nose) out again. With Len out the last two games, Wright has been able to produce 35.4 and 32.1 FanDuel points. Defense is his specialty as he has combined for five steals and six blocks in those two games. I'm a big fan of Wright Tuesday at this price.
