FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

There is as close to a full schedule as you can get on Friday night, with 14 games on tap. And there are special circumstances, with it being the day after the Trade Deadline and the first major day back after the All Star Break. All of the tired legs should be fresher, all of the ouchy injuries should be healed, and there should be some big numbers put on the board.

Point Guard
Jrue Holiday, NO vs PHI (7600): Holiday entered the All Star Break scorching, averaging almost 46 fantasy points over his last three games. Holiday is the most talented perimeter player on the Pelicans now that he's healthy and both Tyreke Evans and Eric Gordon are not. And he has a good match-up on Friday against a friendly 76ers defense.

Reggie Jackson, DET at WAS ($6600): Jackson just got a huge vote of confidence from the Pistons, who traded his primary back-up and last year's starter Brandon Jennings away and left the job in Jackson's hands. Jackson also has a good match-up against a Wizards defense that has been friendly to opposing perimeter players all season.

Shooting Guard
Devin Booker, PHO vs HOU ($5400):
Booker hit the break averaging 18.5 points, 3.8 assists, 3.2 boards and 0.7 steals over his last 12 games. His last game before the break was a near triple-double against the Warriors, and he has shown the ability to score in bunches. On Friday he has a great match-up against a Rockets defense that is 25th in the NBA at limiting production to opposing shooting guards.

Evan Fournier, ORL vs DAL ($5200): Fournier has been starting and playing well with Tobias Harris out of the line-up, and now that Harris has been moved to Detroit Fournier is the short-term incumbent for the position. Ersan Ilyasova's presence could eventually push into his minutes, but for now Fournier is still starting. Fournier has averaged almost 34 fantasy points in those starts.

Small Forward
Chandler Parsons, DAL at ORL ($6600):
Parsons had a multiple-week stretch in January where he was one of the better small forward options in the game, good for 35 to 45 fantasy points on a nightly basis. He seemed to wear down a bit right before the break against a string of tough defenses, but he should be fresh after the week off and has a solid match-up against the Magic on Friday night.

Power Forward
Aaron Gordon, ORL vs DAL ($5900):
Gordon, like Evan Fournier, had a hot stretch going into the break with Tobias Harris out. In the last three games, Gordon has averaged about 35 fantasy points per game. Gordon may eventually have to fight off Ersan Ilyasova for minutes, but for now Gordon is hot. And, right or wrong, his electrifying performance in the Slam Dunk Contest also seems to portend good things coming out of the break.

Center
Karl-Anthony Towns, MIN at MEM ($9000):
Towns was electric going into the break, averaging 22.5 points with 12.5 boards, 2.3 assists, 2.2 blocks and 0.6 steals over his last 12 games. His walk-off game was a 35-point/11-rebound effort, his ninth straight double-double. On Friday he faces a Grizzlies defense that is without defensive anchor Marc Gasol.
