FanDuel NBA: Monday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Monday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Monday's slate is a short one, but each game has a spread within eight points, which should keep all the fantasy-relevant players useful, with no blowouts expected. That makes it easier on us, as there shouldn't be any funky rotations happening, as long as the games stay close. In addition, all the totals are at least 195 points, which means plenty of possessions and plenty of fantasy points

Russell Westbrook, OKC vs. ATL ($12,500): It's not too often that these plays need such little explanation, but that's just how good Westbrook has been. Not only has he turned into a triple-double machine, he's averaging over 57 fantasy points per game for the season. This matchup against Atlanta is a great one too, as the Hawks are allowing the second-most fantasy points to point guards this season. Just get those guaranteed 50-plus points into your lineup and build from there.

Dennis Schroder, ATL at OKC ($6,800): Schroder will be opposing Westbrook and that should give an already hot player even more motivation. Across his last 11 games, Schroder has scored at least 34 fantasy points nine times and is just shy of averaging 40 fantasy points per game in that span. The price is the best part, as his floor is 5x value with his recent form. Stacking these two point guards could pay big dividends as well, especially if this game is close and they are asked to play big minutes.

Devin Booker, PHX at MIN ($5,700): Booker has been extremely inconsistent this season, but he's coming off a fantastic two-game stretch, scoring 67.4 fantasy points. His recent form and the matchup make him very intriguing, as the Timberwolves rank 28th in defensive efficiency. The icing on the cake is the price, as there's no other shooting guard below $6,000 who can provide 40-plus fantasy points like Booker.

Andrew Wiggins, MIN vs. PHX ($6,300): Wiggins has disappointed a few times this season, but his potential is just too big to pass up. He has an upside that's hard to match, as he's shown the ability to put up over 40 fantasy points on a regular basis. The matchup against the Suns is an excellent one, as they rank bottom-three in total defense and Wiggins was able to drop 25 points the last time he faced them.

Nikola Jokic, DEN vs. DAL ($5,900): Jokic is averaging well over 30 fantasy points per game across his last six, and he has not scored below 24 fantasy points in that span. It's his ability to stuff the stat sheet that makes him so valuable, and the matchup is good too, as the Mavericks have very little in terms of frontcourt defense. No forward in this price range has as much upside.

Kent Bazemore, ATL at OKC ($4,200): Bazemore has seen his price drop over recent weeks, as he just returned from a knee injury. That makes him especially enticing, as he's a great value at just $4,200. In his most recent game, Bazemore tallied 17 points, four rebounds and five assists en route to 29 fantasy points. He's shown that level of production at times this season, as he's scored at least 30 fantasy points seven times. Now that he's healthy and ready for a full complement of minutes, he should be able to provide value at this price.

Myles Turner, IND vs. WSH ($6,500): Over his last seven games, Turner has scored at least 28 fantasy points six times and has shown the ability to go off when he is needed. The price is my favorite part about using Turner though, as his floor is in the 5x range and he has the potential to reach 8x. The matchup is good too, as the Wizards are a below average defense with almost no one in the frontcourt who can match up with Turner.

Robin Lopez, CHI vs DET ($4,900): Lopez is much more valuable against teams who use traditional centers, and that's just what he'll have Monday, as Andre Drummond is the most traditional center in the NBA. Why that helps him is the fact that he gets to stay in the paint for rebounds and provide solid defensive statistics with his rim protection.
