Yankee Stadium's Demise

Not all progress is good progress. Plans for a new Yankee Stadium have been approved by NYC. A final city council vote is still to come, but the clocking is ticking on the House that Ruth Built.

Comments....

I love Yankee Stadium, but it will be interesting to see what goes up in its place (and how much they're going to charge for a ticket in the middle of Manhattan). Probably will be worse for the fans - with the current owners and Bug Selig, pretty much any change in baseball can be assumed to be worse for the fans.
