Ashley produced 10 points, five rebounds, an assist, a steal and a block Tuesday as Arizona defeated Kansas State 72-68 in the semifinals of the Maui Invitational in Hawaii.

Though one of four Wildcats to finish in double figures in Tuesday's win over Kansas State, Ashley also ended up turning over the ball a game-high six times, bringing his average per contest in that same category to 2.6 this season.

Ashley converted 3-of-10 shots from the field and 5-of-6 free throws to finish with 11 points Wednesday as Arizona defeated UC-Irvine 71-54 at home. The junior forward also added six rebounds, two assists and two steals to his overall numbers.

Ashley, who was forced to watch the final two months of the 2013-14 season from the bench after tearing a ligament in his foot in February, is expected by many to be better this year than last year before his injury, when he averaged 11.5 points and 5.8 rebounds on 52.2 percent shooting. So far this season, the native of San Francisco, CA has lived up to the hype, averaging 15 points, five rebounds and 1.3 assists through Arizona's first three contests.

Ashley (foot) scored 10 points with seven rebounds in Arizona's exhibition win over Cal Poly Pomona.

It was Ashley's first game since suffering a severe foot injury Feb. 1 at Cal. It looks like he's ready for the regular season.

Ashley (foot) had "successful" surgery on Tuesday, the Daily WIldcat reports.

Ashley will attempt to improve his draft stock next season by showing NBA scouts that he is fully healthy, and return to be a key component of the 2015 Arizona squad. He had been projected to be a late first-round pick, but will now have to focus on recovery rather than elevating his game to the professional level. The 19-year-old could actually improve his projected draft position by having a solid season, as he won't have to deal with the current draft that is expected to be loaded with talented prospects.

Ashley, who has been ruled out for the remainder of this season due to a broken foot, is expected to return to school next season, ESPN reports.

Ashley was averaging over 11 points and five rebounds prior to suffering a season-ending injury at California last Saturday. Given that kind of production at age 19 and Ashley's 6-8, 230 pound frame, the power forward was projected to be a late first-round or early second-round pick in this June's NBA Draft. However, now that his sophomore campaign is over, Ashley will focus on his recovery, which will likely prevent him from testing the professional waters. Further, with freshman Aaron Gordon expected to declare for the draft following this season, Ashley could be thrust into a larger role at Arizona next season, potentially boosting his future draft stock.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ashley (foot) will miss the remainder of the season, according to the Daily Wildcat.

Ashley injured his foot in the opening minutes of Saturday's loss to California, and the results of the x-rays were apparently unfavorable. The sophomore forward had been averaging 11.5 points and 5.8 rebounds on the season before suffering the injury, which appears to be a broken foot. The Wildcats will certainly miss their No. 3 scorer and rebounder, as they attempt to bounce back from their first loss of the season.

Ashley suffered a possible broken right foot Saturday as Arizona was knocked from the ranks of the unbeatens in a stunning 60-58 loss to California.

Ashley injured his foot going for a rebound in the opening minutes. He had his foot wrapped but later was in a walking boot. He is scheduled to have X-rays when the team gets back to Tuscon.

Ashley finished with his lowest scoring total in three starts Wednesday, but has ended up in double figures in each of his last five games for the Wildcats.
