Niang put up 18 points (8-16 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and a block in 32 minutes versus Oklahoma State on Saturday.

The star saw more looks and rebounding opportunities than usual with McKay suspended, but the near entirety of his production came exclusively in the second-half. Coming out of the half, Niang had only managed two points total, but turned it on after that nailing 7-10 shots down the stretch. Those shots accounted for 16 of his 18 total points, and he also grabbed all nine of his rebounds in the second half. Niang is still yet to finish with less than 10 points in a single game this season, and will next take aim at a Red Raider squad on Wednesday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Niang tallied 18 points (8-16 FG, 1-3 3PT, 1-2 FT), along with nine rebounds and three assists in Saturday's win over Oklahoma State.

Niang shot 50-percent from the field on his way to 18 points in Saturday's road victory. The senior forward has scored in double-digits in every single game this season, and he currently holds averages of 19.0 PPG, 6.3 RPG and 3.0 APG. Niang will be a Wooden Award Finalist, and he should be considered each and every night in DFS.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Niang scored 22 points (9-19 FG, 4-7 3PT), adding three rebounds and two assists in Monday's win over Oklahoma.

Niang was one of three Cyclones' players to score 20-plus points on Monday night, as they knocked off the No. 1 ranked team in the country at home. Every time the Sooners would make a run, the senior forward would deliver an answer, as he hit big shot after big shot. Niang is now averaging 19.6 PPG and 6.6 RPG, which makes him one of the most consistent fantasy players in all of college basketball. He's averaging 22.5 points over his last two games and should be strongly considered on a nightly basis in DFS.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Niang led the Cyclones with 27 points (11-16 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT) Tuesday against Texas, adding seven rebounds over 40 minutes in the loss.

Niang just missed on an off-balance three-point attempt at the end of overtime to force another period, but Iowa State certainly couldn't have made it that far without the offensive prowess of their senior. With Texas center Cameron Ridley (foot) out for the contest, Niang was able to score at will in the second half. His 19.9 PPG is second in the Big 12 to only Buddy Hield, who is responsible for an impressive 26.6 points per contest.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Niang notched 15 points (6-12 FG, 1-4 3PT, 2-3 FT), adding six rebounds and two steals in Tuesday's win over North Dakota State.

Niang was simply his usual self on Tuesday, scoring in double-digits for the sixth straight game to open the season. The preseason Wooden Award candidate is averaging 16.5 PPG and 5.7 RPG on the year, and he'll continue to be one of the top fantasy options in the country at the forward position.

November 23, 2015

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Niang totaled 11 points (4-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight assists, four rebounds, and one steal in 31 minutes during the Cyclones 64-106 blowout win over Chicago State on Monday, Nov. 16.

Niang is the starting power forward for the fourth-ranked Cyclones. At 6-8 and 230 pounds, he is a formidable threat in the paint, but has the ability to stretch the floor to hit deep shots. The senior has been uncharacteristically cold from the three-point line, shooting only 20 percent, in the Cyclones first two games, but he has the potential to bring his percentage back up to 35 or 40 percent, and will look to do that against Chattanooga on Monday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Niang was named to the preseason All-American team by the Associated Press.

Niang averaged 15.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.5 blocks in 31 minutes per contest during 2014-15. Iowa State lands at number seven in the preseason polls thanks in large part to Niang's projected greatness in 2015-16.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Niang will return to Iowa State for his senior season, ESPN reports.

Niang averaged 15.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists while shooting 40 percent on three-pointers for Iowa State this past season. However, after a first-game exit from the NCAA tournament this month, Niang has unfinished business with the Cyclones and will return for his senior year in Ames. With Niang among college basketball's most versatile players, Iowa State could be ranked in the top 10 to begin next season.
