Cobbins will miss the rest of the season after rupturing his Achilles tendon on Thursday, ESPN.com reports.

Cobbins was the Cowboys' best paint defender. For a team that doesn't have much on the interior, losing the 6-8 junior could really hurt their chances in Big 12 play and in the tournament. Sophomore forward/center Kamari Murphy could move into the starting lineup and get a bump in production.
