Fortune will transfer from Providence to Colorado, CBS Sports reports.

A two year starter for the Friars, Fortune averaged 8.4 points in 33 minutes per game last season. While he'll sit out the 2014-15 season, per NCAA transfer rules, he figures to step in and contribute right away for the Buffaloes once eligible.

Fortunate hit a career-high 24 points to help the Friars past St. John's in the quarterfinals of the Big East tournament. He added two steals.

Fortune's brilliant scoring more than made up for a tough day from lead player Bryce Cotton, who was 1-of-10 from the field. The sophomore guard has averaged 14.6 points and 3.0 3-pointers in his last five games.

Fortune was able to score well in a rare off game from Bryce Cotton. He has hit seven 3-pointers in his last two games.

Fortune had his second straight 17-point game Tuesday in the win over Colgate. He added four rebounds and two assists with no turnovers.

Fortune has been playing incredibly heavy minutes because the Friars simply had no healthy bodies in the backcourt. That situation is not going to last. Kris Dunn made his debut on Tuesday and Vincent Council (hamstring) will return soon. If you can sell high on Fortune, now would be the opportunity.
