Sources close to the LSU basketball program confirmed Tuesday that Martin would enter the 2015 NBA Draft, Randy Rosetta of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

The sophomore earned All-Sec first-team honors after averaging 16.9 points and 9.2 rebounds to form a dynamic duo up front with fellow star big man Jordan Mickey. Martin came on especially strong during the season's stretch run, notching five double-doubles over his last 12 games before LSU fell to North Carolina State in the NCAA Tournament. The 6-foot-10 forward is projected to go late in the first round or early in the second round of the draft.

Martin had 16 points, 11 rebounds and four dimes against NC State on Thursday in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

It was the second-straight double-double for Martin, who has notched 15 such outputs in total on the year. Unfortunately for Martin and the Tigers, they lost a heartbreaker, 66-65 to the Wolfpack. Now the waiting game begins to see if Martin will stay in school or jump to the NBA.

Martin notched 18 points and 16 rebounds against Auburn on Friday in the SEC Quarterfinals.

Martin has now tallied four double-doubles in his last six games for the Tigers. This loss could be costly to LSU's NCAA Tournament hopes, though, as Auburn is just 4-14 in SEC conference play this season. However, Martin and company may still have done enough to get into the big dance.

Martin contributed 16 points, five rebounds, one dime, two steals and one block against Tennessee on Wednesday.

Martin had a career-high 28 points (8-15 FG, 1-3 3 Pt, 11-16 FT) to go along with 13 rebounds and two assists in Saturday's victory over Florida.

Martin had been limited to 22 points combined in his last two contests due to foul trouble, but was one of the top scorers in daily formats Saturday afternoon. He even had the highlight reel, between-the-legs dunk off a steal in the first half, which got the home crowd going for the Tigers -- who never relinquished the lead after that point. If Martin and fellow sophomore Jordan Mickey remain in Baton Rouge after this season, the Tigers will sport arguably the most formidable frontcourt duo once again in 2015-16.

It was a bit of a down game for Martin, who turned the ball over four times while also battling foul woes. The sophomore forward is still averaging nearly a double-double with 16.2 points and 9.0 rebounds per contest.
