Mosquera-Perea has been dismissed from Indiana's basketball team, Mike Miller of The Herald Times reports.

Mosquera-Perea, a junior forward, was present at the scene when teammate Devin Davis was arrested Monday for marijuana possessions. While Davis missed the entire 2014-15 season after being struck by a car, Mosquera-Perea averaged 6.5 points and 4.3 rebounds over 19.4 minutes.

Mosquera-Perea (right knee) dressed for Friday night's game against Maryland, but he did not play.

Coach Tom Crean suggested that Mosquera-Perea is day-to-day, so he could return to action when Indiana plays in the NCAA Tournament or NIT next week.

Updating a previous item, Mosquera-Perea (right knee) aggravated his previous injury to his right knee cap on Thursday night against Northwestern, according to Zach Osterman of The Indianapolis Star.

Mosquera-Perea is most likely out for the rest of the season, no matter how far Indiana goes.

Mosquera-Perea (right knee) was injured midway through the second half Thursday night against Northwestern and he was slated to be evaluated further after the game.

Mosquera-Perea missed time earlier in the season with an injury to the same knee. His season looks likely to be over, based on how bad the injury looked initially, but confirmation should come some time before Indiana takes on Maryland on Friday.

Mosquera-Perea (knee) grabbed one rebound and did not attempt a field goal over four minutes in Sunday's victory over Michigan.

A knee injury cost Mosquera-Perea a seven-game stretch, but the junior from Colombia looks ready to begin a gradual transition back into action. The 6-foot-9 forward had seen steady minutes in the starting lineup prior to sustaining the injury, but it's currently unclear if head coach Tom Crean has plans to eventually return him to his old role. Collin Hartman should continue to see starts until that day arrives.

Mosquera-Perea is wearing a brace on his knee and is dressed for warmups for Sunday's game, Mike Miller of the Herald Times reports.

These signs point to Mosquera-Perea making his first appearance since mid January. In the last month without him, Indiana has had to play a lot of small rotations, which can be tough against big teams. Expect him to be eased back into the lineup stating Sunday, but Mosquera-Perea could end the season playing big minutes as one of Indiana's few potentially-reliable big men.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mosquera-Perea suffered a knee injury in practice Monday, and he's expected to miss four weeks, CBS Sports reports.

Mosquera-Perea is averaging 7.4 points and 5.0 rebounds in 20.9 minutes per game on the season. The junior put together some impressive stat lines during non-conference play but has struggled of late, scoring just four points and playing only 18 total minutes in the Hoosiers' last two contests versus Michigan State and Ohio State. Assuming the four-week timetable holds up, Mosquera-Perea should be back for the final six or seven games of Big Ten play.
