Trimble has declared for the upcoming NBA Draft and will sign with an agent, Jon Rothstein of FanRag Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
After testing out the draft waters following his sophomore season last year, Trimble officially ended his collegiate career with Wednesday's announcement that he'll sign with an agent. Trimble enjoyed something of a bounce back season as a junior, averaging 16.8 points on 43.6 percent shooting after averaging 14.8 points on 41.0 percent as a sophomore. However, he was unable to improve his 3-point shooting, hitting under 32 percent for the second consecutive season after canning 41.2 percent of his shots from deep as a freshman. The back-to-back seasons of lackluster perimeter shooting from Trimble will be a concern for NBA teams, and he'll need to improve on some of his testing numbers from last year's combine to quell any concerns regarding his athleticism. In any case, Trimble had a storied three-year career at Maryland, earning first-team All-Big Ten honors twice.
