Wiltjer paced all scorers with 23 points and netted five rebounds, four assists, a pair of blocks and a single takeaway Friday as Gonzaga fell to Syracuse 63-60 in a NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 matchup in Chicago, IL.

Wiltjer collected nine made field goals on 17 attempts and registered a game-high four 3-pointers to both finish the leading scorer in Thursday's contest and notch his second 20-point performance in five appearances. The senior forward also tied Kyle Dranginis as Gonzaga's No. 2 rebounder and recorded his best assist total in 14 showings in the defeat. The 6-10, 240-pounder closes out 2015-16 having produced no less than 13 points as a 50 percent field goal/49 percent long range shooter over the course of his final 10 starts and the West Coast Conference's leader in points per game for the year (20.6). A median five rebounds generated in three NCAA Tournament starts leaves Wiltjer one of two Bulldogs ranked in the league's top ten off the glass this season as well.

March 18, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Wiltjer accumulated 13 points (5-14 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-3 FT) and seven rebounds in Thursday’s upset win over Seton Hall.

The AP Preseason First-Team All-American has been on quite a hot streak as of late. Wiltjer has reached double-digits in scoring in each of his last eight games and is averaging 18.5 PPG over that span. On the season, Wiltjer is shooting 42.6 percent from 3-point range. When you factor in his ability to consistently knock down threes with his 6-foot-10 frame, it becomes obvious why the senior averages 20.5 PPG.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Wiltjer had 17 points (6-10 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT) and four rebounds in Tuesday's WCC championship victory over Saint Mary's.

For good measure, the senior forward also mixed in a block, an assist and a steal in the contest. What's particularly encouraging is that Gonzaga was not dependent on the three-point prowess of Wiltjer, as he only attempted one trey over 39 minutes played. Wiltjer had struggled against the Gaels this season, but the timing was perfect for his best shooting day against this particular opponent. The Kentucky transfer and Bulldogs' leading scorer (20.7 PPG) will surely have the spotlight on him as coach Mark Few and company attempt to carry this momentum to the big dance.

March 8, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Wiltjer led all scorers with 29 points (10-18 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 4-5 FT), adding eight rebounds and two blocks in Monday's WCC semifinal victory over BYU.

Wiltjer took advantage of an up-tempo game for the Bulldogs, posting his highest scoring total since the last time he faced BYU (35 points on Jan. 14). Fantasy owners may not be wise to expect the same output in Tuesday's WCC championship against Saint Mary's, as Wiltjer has just 19 points (8-23 FG, 1-10 3Pt) over 74 minutes in two prior meetings with the Gaels this season.

March 7, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Wiltjer scored 13 points and added eight rebounds, three assists, and three blocks against Portland Saturday.

Wiltjer ranks second in the West Coast Conference in points this year with 20.5 per game. In 31 games played, the 6-10 forward has only missed double-digit point totals three times. He also adds significant production in the rebounds category as he averages 6.5 boards per game.

January 24, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Wiltjer amassed 23 points (8-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-7 FT), six rebounds, and one block in 36 minutes of play during Saturday's victory over Pacific.

Wiltjer bounced back from a tough game on Thursday against Saint Mary's in which he was held to just six points, to put up another great stat line. He's satisfying many expectations that came at the beginning of the season, when the senior was named a preseason All-American. Wiltjer is averaging 21.7 points, 7.0 boards, and 1.3 assists in 34 minutes per game.

December 4, 2015

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Wiltjer scored 22 points (8-15 FG, 4-7 3PT, 2-2 FT), and added three rebounds, one assist and three blocks in 37 minutes during Wednesday's win over Washington State.

Wiltjer has been on fire so far this season, averaging 19.3 points and 6.8 rebounds in Gonzaga's first six games. The preseason All-American has satisfied expectations so far, with another chance to shine on the national stage against Arizona on Satuday.

November 9, 2015

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Wiltjer was named to the preseason All-American team by the Associated Press.

Wiltjer was the lead player in votes, as he averaged 16.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.7 blocks, and 0.5 steals in 28 minutes per contest during the 2014-15 season. The 6-foot-10 senior is also a major threat from the perimeter, as he converted 1.8 3-pointers per game (47 percent) in his junior campaign. Look for Wiltjer to be one the of top overall selections in drafts that include the West Coast Conference.
