Jones was the leading scorer in the 2012-13 season for SMU, averaging 14.0 points and 7.7 rebounds per game for the Mustangs. The Aggies will likely file a waiver with the NCAA to attempt to have Jones play immediately this season which would add an interesting scoring dimension for Billy Kennedy's offense in College Station.
