Zeller will announce Wednesday that he is headed to the NBA, the Indianapolis Star reports. Zeller averaged 16.5 points and 8.1 rebounds as a sophomore.

Zeller joined Victor Odalipo as Hoosier underclassmen who will forgo years of eligibility. The seven-footer should be a late lottery pick. He is a decent rebounder and can hit a mid-range jumper, but he may follow a similar trajectory as his brother Tyler who started for the Cavaliers this season but produced mediocre numbers. Hanner Mosquera-Perea may move into the starting lineup for Indiana.

Zeller will return to Indiana for his sophomore season, he announced Tuesday.

A big boost for the Hoosiers and a mild surprise, given that Zeller had a chance to be a Top 10 pick. Zeller was Big Ten co-Freshman of the Year in 2011-12, averaging 15.6 points and 6.6 rebounds a game. He also shot 62.4 percent from the floor.

Zeller notched his fifth double-double of the season Saturday with 16 points (5-9 FG, 6-8 FT) and 13 rebounds as Indiana barely beat VCU in the third round of the NCAA Tournament. He also added one assist, versus four turnovers, and one block in 33 minutes of action for the Hoosiers.

Zeller has scored in double figures in six consecutive contests, but his rebounds have ranged from one to Saturday's 13 during the streak. This doesn't bode well for Zeller as Indiana prepares for a rematch against Kentucky and Anthony Davis on Friday. In the Hoosiers' victory over the Wildcats on Dec. 10, Zeller managed 11 points and seven rebounds in 37 minutes, which is about what he should expect the second time around.

Zeller's six steals matched a season-high as well as an Indiana school record for swipes in an NCAA tourney tilt.

Zeller posted 17 points (5-9 FG, 7-8 FT), one rebound, and one steal in 31 minutes Friday as Indiana lost to Wisconsin during the second round of the Big Ten tournament.

Zeller's one board was a season-low for the freshman sensation. However, he enters the NCAA tournament with his shooting touch intact, averaging 16.8 points in 31 minutes over his final four matchups while hitting 55.6 percent of his field goals and 75 percent of his freebies. Indiana, a number four seed, plays New Mexico State in Portland on Thursday in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

During the regular season, he averaged 15.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 1.3 blocks, and 1.2 assists in 28.2 minutes while shooting 63.5 percent from the floor and 75.1 percent at the foul line.
