Lamb had six points (1-4 FG, 0-2 3 Pt., 4-5 FT), three assists and three rebounds over 26 minutes in Friday's victory over Kansas State.

Lamb had been suspended for the first part of the season, but has now started back-to-back contests and shot a combined 7-for-16 from the field. He appears to be back in good standing with the team, and should be poised for consistent minutes in the Long Beach State backcourt moving forward.

Lamb is expected to be suspended for the first part of the season for an undisclosed reason, Jeff Goodman of ESPN reports.

The former UCLA Bruin is expected to play a huge role on Long Beach State this season, although it's unclear just how severe his punishment will be. Until further news is released, Lamb will be out indefinitely.

Lamb has been granted his release from the UCLA basketball team and will transfer, ESPNLosAngeles.com reports.

Lamb, a junior, hasn't played since experiencing swelling in his surgically repaired knee during the team's season opener. In a statement released Sunday, Lamb said, "I believe that it is in my best interest to find a new destination where I can continue to grow, both as a person and as a basketball player. I am eternally grateful to my coaches and teammates for everything they have given me, and I wish them the best going forward. I plan on enrolling in a new educational institution by next semester, and I have not yet determined my schools of interest." The 21-year-old guard averaged 9.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 31.4 minutes last season.

Lamb will miss four to six weeks after undergoing minor knee surgery, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Lamb was a nice glue guy for the Bruins last year. He provided perimeter defense and a bit of scoring (9.0 points per game). Lamb will likely back up Shabazz Muhammed, if the freshman is eligible and Lamb gets healthy.

Lamb scored 14 points for UCLA Saturday as the Bruins defeated Washington 75-69 at home in Los Angeles.

A troubling article last week in Sports Illustrated regarding the state of UCLA's basketball program seems to have only motivated the Bruins, who, in no small part to Lamb, have pulled off wins against Washington St. and Washington over the last three days.
