Porter will head to the NBA, the AP reports. He averaged 16.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.8 steals in his sophomore season.

Porter is a do-it-all forward who should be a top five pick in the 2013. He had one of the games of the year with his 33 points against Syracuse on Feb. 23. Porter was unable to lead his team to a win in the NCAA tournament as they were beaten by Florida Gulf Coast in the Round of 64.

Porter has only taken a combined 16 shots in his last two games and has averaged 14.0 points. His scoring seems to be leveling off, but he did have his career-high of 33 in the win over Syracuse, the Hoyas' next opponent, on Feb. 23 in a win at the Carrier Dome.

Porter scored a career-high 33 points, including five 3-pointers, as the Hoyas went to Syracuse and came away with a road win. He added eight rebounds and five steals.

Other than Porter, the Hoyas shot 20 percent from the field and were 2-of-15 (13.3 percent) on 3-pointers. Syracuse allowed very little scoring in the paint in the first half, so Porter took his game beyond the perimeter. It was a great performance by the 6-8 sophomore.

Porter banged his knee Wednesday in the win over DePaul and was limited to 20 minutes and 11 points.

The injury is not considered serious, but it may bear watching for the big showdown with Syracuse on Saturday. Fortunately, the Hoyas did not need a big game from their main man, so he was able to rest for much of the second half in the win over the Blue Demons.
