Booker has declined to play with the Buffaloes in the 2015 College Basketball Invitational, Yahoo! Sports reports.

Booker was one of the few consistent pieces of the 2014-15 Colorado squad, leading the team in scoring at 17.2 points per game. He dealt with sore hips for most of the year, however, but the discomfort only forced him to miss one game. The 6-2 guard's sights are now set on his professional career, so Booker will elect to not risk re-injury, and allow the younger players on the team extra playing time. His senior season will be remembered by 14 performances of 20 points or more, including a 43-point effort against USC back on Jan. 29.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Booker exploded in Sunday's 87-81 home win for Colorado over Arizona State, scoring 29 points and producing three rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Booker's 29 points - a career-high while playing in the Coors Event Center - came after the senior earned an early technical foul for talking trash to Arizona State's Gerry Blakes, Bo Barnes, Jonathan Gilling and head coach Herb Sendek, who Booker told the Associated Press following Sunday's victory, talked "mess" and said "I'm not (that) good" prior to tip off. "Those four guys pretty much started it," Booker explained. "So, it's a credit to those guys to get me fired up and for me to get the ball in the basket."

Booker was the only Colorado player to finish in double figures in Thursday night's game, but connected on just 5-of-16 shots from the field, including 0-of-2 from beyond the arc. "[Booker is] a prolific scorer and he was trying to be aggressive," head coach Tad Boyle told CUBuffs.com following Thursday's loss, "but he has to find a way to make others around him better." "He's trying," Boyle continued, "but he's not getting much help. It's frustration on both parts."
