Bird did not play in California's 78-76 double overtime win over Montana on Wednesday due to a foot injury, SFGate.com reports.

The sophomore guard, who is averaging 11.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists a game this season, sat out practice Tuesday with a boot on his left foot and is considered "day-to-day" for the immediate future.

Bird led California in scoring with 18 points Wednesday as the Bears knocked off Cal Poly 72-52 at home in Berkeley.

Bird, one of three Cal players to finish with at least 16 points against Cal Poly, posted his best scoring figures of the year Wednesday, and is now averaging 13.2 points a game this season - third-best on the team.
