RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Poythress collected 12 points and 10 rebounds at Florida on Tuesday.

It was the fourth double-double of the season for the senior, though his first since December 9.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Poythress (knee) had 14 points (5-6 FG, 4-6 FT) and one rebound over 17 minutes in Tuesday's 78-53 victory over Alabama.

Poythress missed five games for the Wildcats after undergoing a minor knee procedure, but was able to return on a limited basis for the SEC matchup. He was still passed over in favor of Marcus Lee and freshman Isaac Humphries in the starting lineup, but look for this to change in the near future if he continues posting double-digit scoring performances. Kentucky is much deeper than originally-expected in the post, and when Derek Willis (ankle) returns, he'll provide another boost. Nonetheless, Poythress is arguably the most skilled and experienced out of the entire group, and should see the most minutes when the postseason arrives.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Poythress (knee) is not in the starting lineup but he is expected to be available off the bench Tuesday against Alabama, ESPN's Jeff Goodman reports.

Poythress logged a full practice Monday and has looked pain-free going through warmups ahead of Tuesday's tilt. Provided that he does play against Alabama, he will be doing so off the bench even though fellow big man Derek Willis (ankle) is sidelined. Isaac Humphries will start in the middle for the Wildcats on Tuesday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Poythress (knee) is warming up with the team ahead of Tuesday's game against Alabama, Kyle Tucker of the Courier Journal reports.

Poythress has been sidelined for the last five games due to a knee injury, but he has been progressing and could return to the floor as soon as Tuesday. He'll need to warm up without any setbacks in order to prove to the coaching staff that he's ready to go, so further confirmation on his status figures to be made shortly before Tuesday's tip-off.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Poythress (knee) worked out Monday, but remains questionable for Tuesday's matchup with Alabama, the Courier-Journal reports.

Poythress has missed five straight games after suffering a right knee injury and then undergoing a corrective procedure. His workout suggests he's on the right track to return in the near future, but coach John Calipari avoided providing a definitive timetable for his senior. With Derek Willis also dealing with an ankle injury, look for Marcus Lee and freshman Skal Labissiere to potentially see extra minutes down low.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Poythress (knee) is on track to return to the floor next week, Kyle Tucker of the Courier-Journal reports.

Poythress' recovery from a minor knee procedure has gone according to plan thus far and he is on pace to hit the later end of the initial 10-14 day timetable. Provided that he remains on track to play next week, he'll miss the next two games before coming back against either Alabama on Tuesday or Vanderbilt on Feb. 27. Marcus Lee and Derek Willis figure to remain in the starting lineup with Poythress sidelined while freshman Skal Labissiere could earn some extra minutes off the bench.

February 9, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Poythress (knee) is set to undergo a minor procedure and could be out anywhere from 10-to-14 days, Kyle Tucker of the Courier-Journal reports.

Poythress was most recently listed as day-to-day, but he'll now undergo a procedure on his knee, which could keep him out for the next two weeks. With that being said, Marcus Lee, Derek Willis and Skal Labissiere could see increased minutes. With that 10-to-14 day timeline in mind, it seems Poythress could be back for the Wildcat's Feb. 20 game against Texas A&M or Feb. 23 game against Alabama.
