Poythress will return for his junior season at Kentucky, Kyle Tucker of The Courier-Journal reports. "Playing in the NBA has always been a dream of mine, but I want to make sure that I'm NBA-ready."
Poythress averaged 5.9 points and 4.5 boards in 18 minutes in his sophomore season. His numbers actually decreased in his second season, as Kentucky had more depth at the forward spot. With Julius Randle and James Young going pro and decisions looming for the Harrison brothers and Dakari Johnson, Poythress could see an increased role with the team next season and improve his draft stock.
