Harris will not play during the Spartans trip to Italy, but will not miss any regular season games, the Indianapolis Star reports.

Harris was arrested on July 1 for reckless driving. Coach Tom Izzo said that he felt that Harris was remorseful and not being able to play on the trip was punishment enough. The West Virginia transfer should be the team's leading scorer once he gets acclimated to his new team.

Harris was suspended indefinitely on Tuesday following his arrest on July 1 regarding a OWI charge, Graham Couch of the Lansing State Journal reports.

Harris transferred from West Virginia following the 2013-14 season, and after sitting out a year, he was looking to make a large impact on the court for the Spartans. Now, with this setback, Harris's role is in question. Harris's overall impact will depend on how harshly he is punished, but given that he averaged 17.2 points per game as a sophomore at West Virginia, the Spartans will want him on the floor as soon as possible.

Harris led the Mountaineers with 17.2 points per game in 2013-14 but announced his intent to transfer shortly after the season. Once eligible, the 6-3 Harris figures to slot into a major backcourt role immediately.
