Considered a likely second-round pick, Hammons debated forgoing his final two seasons to enter the NBA Draft, but ultimately decided to return to school. The 7-footer averaged 10.8 points per game and 7.4 rebounds per game last season for the Boilermakers.

Hammons scored 20 points (8-19 FG, 4-6 FT) with 14 rebounds and six blocks Wednesday against Minnesota.

Hammons had a great performance in the triple-overtime thriller against Minnesota. It was his fourth double-double of the season. He is averaging 10.9 points and 7.4 rebounds to go along with 3.2 blocks per game this season.

Hammons scored 17 points (3-10 FG, 11-17 FT) with 10 rebounds and four blocks in Tuesday's game against Northwestern.

Hammons struggled shooting from the field in the game, but was able to get to the line with frequency in the double-overtime loss to Northwestern. The sophomore is averaging 10.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 3.5 blocks this season for the Boilermakers.
