Gibbs did not score in the win over Butler, but hit the biggest shot in recent Pirates' history. Seton Hall will meet Providence in the semifinals. Gibbs averaged 17.5 points against the Friars.

Gibbs had his first 20-point game since Dec. 8 and hit more than half of his shots (7-of-10) for the first time in four games. The former Longhorn guard has had a breakout season at 15.6 points.

Gibbs has scored at least 13 points in his last nine games despite missing the Dec. 22 win over Eastern Washington with a knee injury. The sophomore has been a nice find for the Pirates and is averaging 15.6 points.

Gibbs will miss at least two weeks after hyperextending his knee in the loss against St. Peter's on Saturday, CBS Sports reports.

The Pirates have been leaning on Gibbs with Fuquan Edwin (ankle) out, but now Brian Oliver may have to take an ever larger part of the offense. Edwin is expected to return soon, but it may be a season of injuries for Seton Hall.

Gibbs is a transfer from Texas who sat out last season. The 6-2 junior hit 37.1 percent of his 3-pointers with the Longhorns in 2011-12 and could be a surprise performer for the Pirates.
