Gibbs managed to score 16 points (3-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 9-12 FT) against Georgetown on Saturday.

Gibbs had a nice bounce-back performance Saturday after scoring only six points against Tulane on Tuesday. Prior to that he had three consecutive games where he scored 20-plus points.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sterling Gibbs scored a season-high 26 points as UConn knocked off Memphis 81-78.

Gibbs scored over 20 points in each of the Huskies' first two games, then averaged only 10.0 points per game over the next ten as Rodney Purvis stepped into the limelight. This is a good sign, but until he strings together a few nice games Gibbs is still a score-first guard who's not scoring.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gibbs notched 12 points (4-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), a rebound, and a steal in Tuesday's loss to sixth-ranked Maryland.

Gibbs, a senior transfer from Seton Hall, has earned the starting point guard spot for the Huskies. Although he's not putting up as big of numbers as he did during his time at Seton Hall, he does lead the team in the steals category (1.1 per game) and could possibly give a fantasy squad a consistent boost in that category.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gibbs has decided to transfer to UConn for his final season, Jeff Borzello of ESPN reports.

Gibbs initially indicated he would return to Seton Hall for his senior season, but later changed his mind. As a junior, he averaged 16.3 points, 3.8 assists and 2.1 rebounds in about 34 minutes. Considered one of the top transfers this season, he'll likely slot into a starting role for a revamped UConn squad in 2015-16.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gibbs will leave the Seton Hall program, Sporting News reports.

Gibbs, who told the media in mid-March that he would "definitely" be returning to Seton Hall, averaged 16.3 points and 3.8 assists per game in 2014-15. However, he may be best remembered for throwing a punch at Villanova's Ryan Arcidiacono late in the season while the pair battled for a loose ball. The incident earned Gibbs a two-game suspension. As a graduate transfer, Gibbs will be eligible to play immediately at his new school.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gibbs was held to six points in the Big East tournament loss to Marquette on Wednesday. After the game, he stated that he would be back as a senior, Zag's Blog reported.

Gibbs had an inconsistent season. The highlights included a 40-point game in November over Illinois State and a 30-point game in an overtime loss against Butler in January. There were rumors of dissension, but Gibbs will return to lead the talented sophomores-to-be.
