RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Thornwell had the game high Saturday against Mississippi, finishing with 28 points (9-15 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 7-8 FT), four rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block.

After serving a six-game suspension earlier this year, Thornwell is doing everything he can to make up for the missed playing time. He exploded last week for 44 points against Alabama, and definitely kept the ball rolling Saturday to lead his team in scoring again. Thornwell is averaging 20.8 points so far on the year, and has scored at least 16 points in his last eight games. The Gamecocks’ next matchup will be against Arkansas on Wednesday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Thornwell shattered previous career highs with 44 points (9-25 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 25-33 FT) with 21 rebounds in the four-overtime loss to Alabama on Tuesday. The guard missed a free throw at the end of regulation that would have won the game.

After scoring just 16 points in the first half, the Gamecocks roared back to overcome a 16-point deficit. Thornwell has scored at least 16 points in his last seven games, and topped 20 points four times in that span. The senior guard set an SEC record with 25 free throws.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Thornwell put up 22 points (6-12 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 5-5 FT), eight rebounds, five assists, two steals, and two blocks in 27 minutes during Tuesday's win over Auburn.

Thornwell's return from suspension has been very fruitful for owners, as he has scored 20 or more points in four of his past five games. The senior guard averages 19.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.4 steals, and 1.1 blocks in 31.9 minutes per game. He has another opportunity for a big game against a weak Missouri team Saturday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Thornwell scored 34 points (9-23 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 14-15 FT) with six rebounds in the loss to Kentucky on Saturday. The Gamecocks only scored 69 points as a team.

Thronwell is excellent at getting to the line and takes 7.1 free throws per game, making 82.6 percent. South Carolina was playing without second-leading scorer, PJ Dozier (back), and no one else managed to step up. The 6-5 senior is averaging 20.2 points in SEC play and the Gamecocks are 5-1 in conference.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Thornwell had 20 points (5-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 9-13 FT), five rebounds and two steals in Wednesday's 57-53 victory over Florida.

The Gamecocks are undefeated with Thornwell in the lineup, with their only three losses coming during a six-game stretch while he was suspended. The senior guard leads the team in scoring (18.2 PPG), rebounding (6.9 RPG), assists (3.3 APG) and steals (2.5 SPG) and is shooting a solid 45.4 percent from the field. Thornwell's efforts may have landed South Carolina at first place in the SEC, but their undefeated conference record will be put on the line Saturday when the team heads to Lexington for a showdown against Kentucky.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Thornwell had 22 points (6-12 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 9-10 FT), five rebounds, four assists and four steals in Wednesday's victory over Tennessee.

Thornwell has come back stronger following a six-game suspension, as the senior is averaging 19.0 PPG and 7.7 RPG over three SEC contests -- both better than his prior marks. All three of the Gamecocks' losses this year have been without Thornwell on the court, emphasizing the importance of both his production and leadership heading into conference play.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Thornwell provided 19 points (8-17 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 11 rebounds, six steals, three blocks, and an assist in a 67-61 win at Georgia on Wednesday.

Thornwell returned after a six-game suspension for violating athletic department policy. He certainly didn't show any signs of rust as he set season highs in rebounds and steals. The 6-5 senior is averaging 18.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 2.1 steals, and 1.5 blocks in 31.5 minutes per contest. Thornwell is also shooting 48 percent from the field, 47 percent from deep, and 84 percent from the free-throw line, all of which are career highs. The Gamecocks will host Texas A&M this Saturday and are undefeated when Thornwell is in the lineup.
