+ Add To Watchlist

Johnson finished with 14 points, eight rebounds, one assist and one block Monday against Villanova.

Johnson played 31 minutes and hit 6-of-10 from the floor, but was never really a factor as the Wildcats' defense appeared to get under his skin. Johnson bettered all of his season averages each progressive season, ending with 17.0 points and 10.4 rebounds as a senior, resulting in an All-American season, which will get his jersey hung in the rafters at Chapel Hill. Johnson seems to project as a late first-round pick, at best, in the 2016 NBA Draft.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson had 16 points (6-11 FG, 4-6 FT), nine rebounds, one assist, and one block in 28 minutes during Saturday's win over Syracuse.

Johnson narrowly missed a fourth consecutive double-double, but led the Tarheels balanced attack on Saturday. Johnson is averaging 20.0 points, 9.6 points, and 3.0 blocks per game in this years tournament, but will have to face a tough Villanova defense on Monday.

March 28, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson had 25 points and 12 rebounds Sunday against Notre Dame.

The Heels made every effort to get Johnson the ball against the Irish's small front line, and it worked with great efficiency, as Johnson hit 10-of-15 from the floor, showing nice touch on mid-range jumpers. He now has a school record 23 double-doubles this seasoned seems likely to better the 15.0 points and 7.0 rebounds he averaged in two games against Syracuse, the Tar Heels next opponent.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson had 20 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks Friday against Indiana.

Johnson has now posted consecutive double-doubles and has cranked up his defense in the Tournament, having blocked 13 shots in three games. He's also hit 21-of-25 from the foul line, making him virtually impossible to guard. He's not likely to see much resistance against a small Notre Dame front line on Sunday.

March 18, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson recorded 18 points and seven rebounds in North Carolina's first round win over Florida Gulf-Coast.

Johnson has shot the ball very well for the Tar Heels in postseason play, 31-51 from the field. In his four games of postseason play, Johnson is posting averages of 15.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.

March 7, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson had 18 points, 21 rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block Saturday against Duke.

Johnson has feasted on the Blue Devils limited front line, averaging 23.5 points and 20 rebounds in two meetings. Those numbers are impossible to ignore, and Johnson would be a must-play option should the two rivals meet again in the ACC Tournament semi-finals on Friday. North Carolina will face the winner of Pittsburgh-Syracuse to open post season play on Thursday.

March 1, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson had 14 points and 10 rebounds Monday against Syracuse.

Johnson was his usual efficient self, hitting 6-of-10 from the floor while playing only 24 minutes. It was his 18th double-double of the season and he should be in for a big night Saturday against a Duke squad that had little to no chance at guarding him in their first meeting.

February 28, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson finished with 12 points, seven rebounds, four assists and five turnovers Saturday at Virginia.

Johnson was efficient offensively, but the Heels again got complacent with perimeter offense, again making little effort to feed Johnson. It resulted in only nine shot attempts, a number he should better Monday against Syracuse, where he'll likely run some high post plays against the 2-3 zone.
