Johnson had nine points and five rebounds Tuesday at Boston College.

Johnson didn't start the contest as the Heels tweaked their lineup in hopes of jump-starting an apparently unmotivated team. The move resulted in Johnson snapping a five-game double-double streak. The Heels problems don't center around Johnson, and would be a surprise if he didn't return to the starting lineup, and post big numbers, against Pittsburgh on Sunday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson recorded 14 points (6-16 FG, 2-2 FT), 14 rebounds, one steal and three blocks in 28 minutes Saturday against Notre Dame.

This tallies on as the thirteenth double-double for Johnson on the season, as well as his fifth straight double-double in a row. He has only scored below ten points in two games this year to boot, and at this point, itís almost expected of him to accumulate a double-double every game. Though Saturdayís game resulted in a second consecutive loss for the Tar Heels, Johnson will look to help his team rebound versus Boston College on Tuesday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson had six points, two rebounds and two blocks Saturday against North Carolina State.

Johnson played only 18 minutes due to foul trouble. Since a monster 39-23 line against Florida State, Johnson has struggled in his last two games, averaging 11.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists. He's due for a bounceback performance and upcoming games against Wake Forest, Virginia Tech and Boston College could allow for such an outing, but Johnson is unlikely to post such gaudy numbers now that Kennedy Meeks is fully healthy.

January 5, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson had a career-high 39 points and 23 rebounds Monday at Florida State, adding three blocks, three steals and an assist.

Johnson was a man possessed in the contest, hitting 14-of-16 from the floor and 11-of-16 from the foul line. He's made significant strides at the charity stripe, hitting 80.6 percent after making only 67.8 percent a year ago, partly leading to his increased scoring. If Johnson wasn't in Player of the Year discussions before last night, he certainly is now.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson had 16 points, 16 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks Monday against UNCG.

Johnson is on a tear at the moment. This was his lowest scoring outing in his last four games, a span where he's had at least nine rebounds in each contest. He's also missed 12 shots over those four games, shooting an eye-opening 76.0 percent (38-of-50). He should be in every sort of lineup Wednesday against Clemson.

December 22, 2015

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson had 22 points, nine rebounds, two assists and a steal Monday against Appalachian State.

Johnson is really clicking right now, averaging 24.7 points and 9.3 boards in his last three outings. He's doing so while playing less than 30 minutes, and while the Heels are deep on the interior, Johnson's minutes could see a slight bump come conference play.

December 21, 2015

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson had 27 points, nine rebounds, an assist and two blocks Saturday against UCLA.

Johnson was coming off of a then career-high 25 points against Tulane. Johnson hit 11-of-12 from the floor and has stepped up in the absence of Kennedy Meeks. He should have his way with Appalachian State Monday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson had 16 points and six rebounds Tuesday against Maryland.

Johnson had posted double-doubles in his last two games and in five of his first six games. He's averaging 13.4 points and 9.7 boards to date and will look to return to the double-digit rebounding column again Sunday against Davidson.
