Kentucky looks unbeatable, but if anyone can knock off the nation's top team it might be Montrezl Harrell and Louisville.

Jones did not score a point and played just nine minutes while coming off the bench during Louisville's victory Tuesday. Jones' lack of playing time was a punishment for flopping in the previous game, the Courier-Journal reports.

Jones tried to draw a foul during Louisville's contest against Kentucky, but after a replay or two it was very obvious that Jones was not even touched when he squirmed to the floor. Head coach Rick Petino was very upset with the flop, and decided to sit Jones for most of the next game as a punishment. Expect Jones' punishment to be over, and he should re-enter the starting lineup and play his usual minutes, as long as he does not flop again.

Jones finished with 24 points (8-17 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 6-8 FT), nine rebounds, five assists and three steals in Tuesday's 94-74 win over Indiana.

Jones certainly stepped his game up Tuesday night. The senior guard came into the contest shooting a miserable 30.1 percent from the field and 64.5 percent from the charity stripe. However, he bettered both of those marks against Indiana, which resulted in a season-high 24 points. This impressive all-around performance is definitely a great sign for the 8-0, No. 4 ranked Cardinals.

Jones (shin) is expected to play Wednesday against Cleveland State, the Courier-Journal reports.

Jones ran into a bit of shin soreness following Monday's victory over Savannah State, which limited him to 17 minutes in the contest. Since he suffered a stress fracture in his shin over the summer, there had been thought that coach Rick Pitino would monitor his minutes during the early part of the season. The senior point guard looks to be ready to go, but his ultimate workload will depend on how his shins respond to another round of game action, which makes him a slightly risky play in daily formats. Jones is averaging 12.5 points per game over the Cardinals' first four contests, but the scoring numbers could be poised to increase if he's able to improve upon a field goal percentage of 30.8.

Jones suffered a stress fracture in his left shin, the Courier-Journal reports.

Jones recently returned from the Adidas Nations camp where he and fellow teammates Montrezl Harrell and Terry Rozier were counselors. Jones averaged 10.2 points, 2.9 assists, and 2.3 rebounds in 26 minutes per game last season with Louisville. He also shot 40 percent from the field and 38 percent beyond the arc. Jones is expected to start next season after having an impressive summer. Jones' six-week recovery process would put him right at the beginning of preseason practices.

Jones will not play in Thursday's game against Houston due to an oblique injury, ESPN.com reports.

Jones is the third-leading scorer for Louisville this season, averaging 11.3 points per game. He has dealt with a few minor injuries this season, but has still started 13 games at point guard for the Cardinals. It is uncertain how many games he will miss, but Terry Rozier will fill in as the starter while Jones is out.
