Marshall had a team-high 23 points on 8-of-18 shooting in Saturday's exhibition game against Missouri Southern.

Marshall saw his 2013-14 season cut short after tearing his meniscus in mid-January, but doesn't appear to be limited in any way heading into this year, as he launched more than twice as many shots as any other teammate in the exhibition tilt. The junior guard posted scoring averages of 11.5 and 14.3 points during his first two seasons with the Bears, and should continue to see that average trend upward as one of the main focus points in the offense.

Kansas' Andrew Wiggins has shown flashes of brilliance during his freshman campaign, but when you're touted as the next LeBron James, it's tough to live up to the hype.

Marshall is out indefinitely after tearing his meniscus last Saturday against Wichita State, CBS Sports reports.

Marshall will have surgery on his right meniscus on Wednesday, which will determine his prognosis moving forward. Marshall was the 2013 Missouri Valley Freshman of the Year, and had been leading the Bears in scoring at 14.3 points per game.
